Seller offered at market so all one needed to do was to bid at 4.70 and you're offered immediately.
Today being end month and most of the brokers/fund managers/institutions wanting to clear their debits/balance their books, expect some pressure on other volatile counters like Britam, Co-op, Centum in the last 5 minutes of trading.

mlennyma when short selling is introduced in the market, I encourage you to start taking such advice with a pinch of salt.

a conclusive end, cic like other insurance companies is deeply invested in the stock market which is in a bear mood currently, making it impossible for cic to operate above its peers in the industry in addition to having a high PE meaning the share price is a value trap." i have heard and i have listened"

Mafia they urgently need to reduce their exposure to equities & focus on their core business of insurance and generating maximum returns from it. hii maneno ya kugamble nse for earnings will dissipate their profits as long as the bear is in them woods

Guys the exposure of CIC on equities isn't that heavy as is being quoted here.
Out of a total asset base of ksh.26bn,1bn has been invested in equities with most of it done last year i.e ksh.832mn.
Most of the investment is in government securities and deposits with financial institutions
