You know the police behaving this way is all fun and hoiyee until they descend on you; or your son or daughter. One day these demonstrators will be passing by your business, as you run for your dear life, you will meet him rogue policeman and he will assume you are part of the protesters. Before you know it, before you explain, the rungus and boots will be over your head. In your unconscious state, you will be bundled into a lorry and damped at KNH, yeah, not Nairobi Hospital or Aga Khan, nobody will care whether you have your Insurance card in your pocket, in case you die, your family will look for you at City morgue. They might transfer you to Lee, but that will be too late.

I always support the police in using self-defense mechanism/force when their lives are in danger. But clearly, there is no possible way you can explain how this boy was a threat to the lives of all those policemen, even when he was on the ground.

No, I can't support this madness.

IT'S interesting to see a society celebrating a rogue cop. You must be so naive. And your naivity is to think that the behaviours of such an officer are restricted to cord demos or Raila supporter. Or to think that he only brutalises law breakers. Listen, such a cop has an empty head. And the emptiness does not allow him to distinguish between those who break and those who dont break the law. He is the officer who will find innocent university girls in hostels and rape them even if they are Jubilated. He is the cop who will shoot dead Kikuyu hawkers. He will be rioting in the morning and evening he will be harassing bar owners and collecting bribes. Regardless of whom you voted for, he will plant bangi in your pocket at night and weeks later he will be swearing with a bible in court that he caught you selling drugs. He will kill your brother who was a Jubilee agent and file a report that the deceased was armed. He is a rogue police officer, please get that.

interesting.... there are flats near Hazina Towers... very interesting. plus the ground is not the red soil present in that neighbourhood. Plus some blue "Moi" something board in the background... very very interesting.

Isn't that Moi Avenue Primary?

All said and done, today the police were too brutal. I wonder why??? This was totally unnecessary. The number of policemen who descended on this particular guy was scaring. What exactly had he done? And whatever he had done, arresting him was totally within their control.

Exactly the picture that CORD wanted the world to see.

Does any of the #CORDDemo organizers know the whereabouts of this poor guy?
will RAO foot the medical bills for his rehabilitation because for sure if he survived he must be a vegetable Sad Sad Sad

@Siringi, his name is "Ngare". Does it ring a bell in your head what that means? Now those hooligans taking advantage of demos to rob and loot are slowly being known...

alphdoti, that one is in very bad taste.

at this time we do not know the story of the guy. maybe he was a peaceful protester enjoying his constitutional right, maybe he was a thug with ulterior motives, maybe he was an innocent bystander caught in the chaos. what we know is that he was clobbered to death (imagine the guys is dead still on the ground and they are still clobbering him - maybe he was even already dead). none of the above possibilities warrant death in any event.

We will go by what we know so far... It's a fact hooligans take advantage of demonstrations... Let the defense continue... What does @alma call you? 2a.m. gang?

In the video, I saw an hawker walking with his umbrellas and was not touched by the police. This guy seems to have done something wrong to be pursued lie that. But the force was not warranted. The police should have arrested him...
