I would be interested to hear how Ruto would handle this interview...

He's a demagogue smile

I think Ruto would hack it.For UK I cannot say with confidence.

Ruto would be brilliant in my opinion...

It's not only a matter of debate skills. Mehdi would have written references of all Ruto's speaking gaffes, skeletons (ICC, Weston, Muteshi land ruling, Hussler's jet, Maize) then colored history (party-hopping, support for Moi, KANU secretary general, YK92 etc.)

Mehdi would frequently interject Ruto's long winded responses, in front of a foreign cold audience. Ruto would have additional burden of trying to look 'vice-presidential' against the rogue debater.

He'd be brought to the point of tears; it would look terrible.

Hehhee, i think Ruto can hack it, and so can Prezzo mzito Uhuru. Remember that time Uhuru defended himself in the hague, ? he is quite something this guy.

Ruto happens to be quite eloquent and is able to maneuver in hard situations, and belieavable due to his confidence.

What this AJ guy is good at is reading some statement somewhere that if you arent careful can pin you down, so you find yourself in an akward position like baba fake of just defending.

Ruto would quickly become the interviewer and start asking the questions. UK would not hack it!!

I have just watched this interview.

Why would Baba's handlers let him do this? Surely they know in these days of shosho media and micro-attention spans, image is more important than substance?

As it is he comes out as bumbling, defensive and quite often incoherent. Not Presidential at all.

Baba needs a new team in his PR department.

I too think so.
The tears we saw in some church in 2013 would flow much freely this time round, and @Rachel will not be there to wipe them.

ouch!!! cheap very cheap Shame on you do you have to bring in the wife

He is a public figure being paid by the public tax...These are some of the price he has to pay for holding that office.

With him its ok, I am sure he can handle whatever is thrown his side, but bringing in the wife, that's what I thought was cheap.
