The number of times the phrase "Misquoted/taken out of context" raises its hand in this talk is overwhelming.

@Kibaki at 70 years could not even speak any audible word in an organized interview like that.

Did you listen to him?
He was razor sharp at 70.

It's not only a matter of debate skills. Mehdi would have written references of all Ruto's speaking gaffes, skeletons (ICC, Weston, Muteshi land ruling, Hussler's jet, Maize) then colored history (party-hopping, support for Moi, KANU secretary general, YK92 etc.)

Mehdi would frequently interject Ruto's long winded responses, in front of a foreign cold audience. Ruto would have additional burden of trying to look 'vice-presidential' against the rogue debater.

He'd be brought to the point of tears; it would look terrible.

I too think so.
The tears we saw in some church in 2013 would flow much freely this time round, and @Rachel will not be there to wipe them.

One of the best interviews ever. I actually watched it thorough to the end. Now UK should appear and get grilled as well.

UK would bang the table and walk outand later claim he is a citizen of a sovereign nation while machozi would blame RAO for the hard questions Sad

If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

Hehhee, i think Ruto can hack it, and so can Prezzo mzito Uhuru. Remember that time Uhuru defended himself in the hague, ? he is quite something this guy.

Ruto happens to be quite eloquent and is able to maneuver in hard situations, and belieavable due to his confidence.

What this AJ guy is good at is reading some statement somewhere that if you arent careful can pin you down, so you find yourself in an akward position like baba fake of just defending.

The very decision to participate in such an interview points to poor judgement on the part of the interviewee.
Nobody has a chance is such a situation.

I must point out that the admission to paying bribes leaves a sour taste in the mouth. I also noted a lot of dishonesty and outright falsifications in the answers surrounding PEV - matter.

I agreed with him that the level of corruption is mind boggling and the powers that be are simply paying lip service.
