But good news indeed.Hope they will recover the over 10B

I have heard rumours that Edenville with over 100 units going for 30M each is one of them. And luxury villas in Diani.

Opus working hard to return looted money for chase bank - love this guy

Sasa tuskize wenye wanasema Chase should not have been closed. Opus did the right thing to deny criminals liquidity. Painful for many people but the right thing for the long term.

And some fellow is telling us we are over hyping Dr. Opus Dei!!! Seriously??

He is doing things that have NEVER happened in Kenya before. The guy has helped seize property worth 8 Billion in Kenya and Dubai pap!!!

If the Kenya Government operated like Dr. Opus Dei and seized property belonging to thieving politicians and other fellows, we would be very far and corruption would not be such a big problem in Kenya. And you can imagine all the resources/machinery the government has and friendly governments that are ready and willing to help them fight corruption as compared to CBK!!!

True @enyands. You and I (among many others) have talked about Dr. Njoroge's security here over and over. He has made very "powerful" enemies a good number who must have killed a number of people to get where they are. I am sure a good number have discussed how their lives would go back to "normal" if Dr. Njoroge was out of the equation. And we are talking about fellows who have lost billions or are about to lose billions because of Dr. Njoroge. Add to that list money launderers (most of who are criminals) who are finding it more and more difficult to launder their money etc. and you will realize why the security of Dr. Njoroge should be of utmost importance!

I will repeat this for the 100th time. The security of the Governor of Central Bank, Dr. Patrick Njoroge should only be rivalled by that of the President and the Deputy President.

I now officially have a dream: To see Dr. Patrick Njoroge as the President of Kenya in my lifetime.

I sincerely hope this happens.

And just that thought makes him more enemies. You can imagine all the mafisi eyeing the presidency and their bunch of thugs! Actually, I can bet more than 90% of the politicians would never want to see the presidency of Dr. Patrick Njoroge because most of them join politics to primarily rob Kenya blind!!!

Let good managers do what they are good at and thugs do their thuggish jobs. The presidency cannot be run by a saint in any country. Read history and you will agree with me

Dr Njoroge is the equivalent of Moses whom God used to lead His people from the slavery of Egyptians, tafakari hayo.
We need such kind of leaders who not only say but act and hold people accountable.
He has said clearly everyone responsible must ne held accountable including former & current CBK staff.
Watch this space as more is still on the way and bear in mind he's just doing clean up.
He has said we dont need new legislation yet, we just need to enforce compliance thereafter we can think of new/enhanced legislation.

Our Good Lord whom he has been serving will protect him for us Wanjikus. However we need to petition Jubilee to give him additional security.

No we don't. On this issue we of course take @KulaRaha's word over Dr. Opus Dei. The same @KulaRaha who saying Chase Bank should not have been placed under receivership because the management was doing an exemplary job and all they needed was MORE MONEY and everything would have been okay.

And to avoid argument about Dubai assets, have the Kenyan assets been seized??

Chill bro, my argument is Chase should have been given liquidity support while CBK investigated issues. It would have avoided the closure and now lock up of liquidity we are seeing.

FYI these insider loans are around 20B. The auditor made noise so Romeo and Juliet brought about 8B of titles to the table to secure the loans (these are the properties your new cult leader claims he has seized). All this was done even before the first set of cooked books were published.

You seem so much anti this guy. Give me an examplary government official in kenya who has done what this guy is doing even if to you it looks shitty? Just one. ? He is trying. Whether the assets are seized before or after, it doesn't matter. What matters is that the bank is running and poor wanjiku can access her funds.

I'm not anti anyone boss, I'm supportive of his efforts of weeding out the rot. However, when public funds are at stake, there is a need to be understanding and strategic.

Do you think depositors will get even 50 cents on the shilling from either Chase or Imperial? Could Chase have been done differently after learning lessons from Imperial?

97% of depositors already have a shilling on the shilling back at Chase! And the other 3% are being sorted. What are you talking about???

@KulaRaha you are not being serious. Ati you were saying a bunch of thugs Who were fraudulently giving themselves unsecured interest free loans should have been given more money? Same fellows who issued a 10 billion corporate bond and they ended up with most of the money in insider loans. Surely!!??

And you can imagine all the resources/machinery the government has and friendly governments that are ready and willing to help them fight corruption as compared to CBK!!!

MaichBlack umenena .this guy is unique. Never seen any govt official like him. I just want him to stop running in the bush in the name of team building.

Aache kukimbia kwa vichaka.there are many enemies out there now that he has bagged some other haters directors in his list

This is how cults are formed now

You actually think CBK seized assets in Dubai?

Gosh, how gullible are Kenyans?

Other technicalities like it was 20b and not 8b is just side shows and show stoppers.the dude is working that's all

You are reasoning like a seasoned hyena. I'll not be shocked to find out kumbe you're a tenderpreneur, MPig or some other looter of public funds.
