Equatorial Guinea is a small country on the west coast of Africa which struck oil in 1995 and which is now being cited as a textbook case of the resource curse - or the paradox of plenty.Since the mid 1990s the former Spanish colony has become one of sub-Sahara's biggest oil producers but a large proportion of the population still lives in poverty.

GDP (nominal) 2016 estimate
Total GDP $10.211 billion
GDP Per capita $12,438

President:Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo(ascended to power on 3rd August 1979)

I met guys from Equatorial Guinea trying to survive out here and was like your population is not even the size of Nairobi si Obiang could give you monthly stipends hata mkiwa majuu, this works for guys from Gabon but Obiang is just a mor**n. The country has the potential of being an African Norway lakini mbuzi tu inaongoza.

The auction comes after the Geneva prosecutor's office announced in February it had closed a case against Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue - son of the country's president of 40 years, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo - and two others following an investigation of money laundering and mismanagement of public assets.

Prosecutors said they were dropping charges of financial wrongdoing against the younger Obiang, known as Teodorin, who is also the vice president of the country, but were confiscating the luxury cars as part of the case.

So its ok for an arab prince of an oil rich nation to have a fleet of super cars but wrong for a mwafrika prince of an oil rich nation to buy the same. Seems bazungu have a problem with seeing a rich african. The bazungu should first confiscate the luxury vehicles of the arab oil rich playboys.
