I have been having the problem for the last four days. The left button (on the touch pad, no mouse used)behaves like the right button as in on clicking on desktop/desktop files, it gives menu options, eg refresh, arrange, etc. I am also not able to work on excel files as upon clicking on a cell, it gives a highlighting on any other cell orentire document.

IT gurus any solution please?Brick wall

several reasons .
1. try to reset through the control panel[touch pad]
2.keys might been affected coz of either dust or water
3.try and connect external mouse and keyboard.if the problem re occurs, then technical issues and better consult technician. if it works normally definetely control panel.
work to prosper

Just tried an external mouse and it just works fine through the USB port. Tried setting the mouse properties in the control panel to default but no change. Tried rebooting but no change. Tried opening in safe mode but again no change. Without an external mouse I cant open a link in a new tap, any other solution?
