I am a jubilee supporter but I think Ouru should address the issues being raised since they affect all of us. I have been talking to jubilee supporters and they also have many complaints including:

-high interest rates market controls
-depressed economy The economy is growing at a rate of 5.9% that is not depressed. The mood of the people is
-fewer jobs Fewer white colored jobs, people building the SGR are making about 50K a month
- few customers buying from businesses learn to market and sell your goods
-reduced purchasing power by customers (mpaka even pubs are empty nowadays)
-increase in number of companies making losses at NSE what are the ones making money doing different
-freeze of employment by govt I agree. GOK should freeze employment, big govt is expensive
-lay offs by companies Not in GOKs control
-intimidation of workers eg teachers last yr, doctors
- massive looting by govt officers, both at national and county levels Agree 100%
-wastage by govt (county & national) - helicopters everywhere Who's helicopters
-increased duty on mitumba cars kill mitumba
-lack of new infrastructure projects except SGR "which they feel won't benefit them".

The feelings on the ground aren't good. They are worried that we were getting back to the dreaded nyayo days, and Ouru needs to do something urgently to correct things. They feel jubilee hasn't improved their lives and say that they miss the good old kibaki days. They expected the digital boys to outdo Kibaki, now that the oldman had laid the foundation. Interesting they said they will still reelect ouru since there is no alternative since RAO would be worse and a danger to the economy (they say baba was a disaster as PM), and also "those people" hate the mountain.

Aren't you contradicting yourself? If everyone was shunning the KYM jobs,SGR would be having a shortage of the KYM employees

Why has the Jubilee Government not told Kenyans how many soldiers died in the January Al-Shabaab attack on the Kenya Defence Forces base at El Adde in Somalia? Why is the government deaf to calls to withdraw our troops from Somalia?
Why are allegations about corruption activities in the war zones — including illegal charcoal business, smuggling of commodities including sugar and others — not being addressed? The corruption has been reported even by United Nations agencies.
A leadership that is not accountable to its citizens and routinely deploys sideshows and public relations exercises to divert attention does not deserve its mandate in office. Jubilee has done this for far too long and is now taking the joke too far. I am the latest victim of these sickening sideshows.


In Parliament on Thursday during the State of the Nation address, President Uhuru Kenyatta criticised me for hesitating to stand with fellow legislators in response to his plea to honour Kenyan soldiers killed in Somalia in a moment of silence.
Interestingly, the President resorted to mischievous psychological and political blackmail, insinuating that I was heartless and disrespectful to the soldiers and our security personnel “some of who guard you”. Nothing could be further from the truth.
As an elected member of the National Assembly, I have a responsibility and I have taken a binding oath of office to serve diligently and truthfully.
As a Christian and a responsible citizen, I do not believe in pretence. As a parent, most of the soldiers are like my children with others being my younger brothers. Naturally, therefore, I highly respect them and care for their welfare and safety. To insinuate otherwise is a malicious misrepresentation. My conscience is clear on this.
I did not stand up with the rest because I believed, and still believe, it was just another PR gesture to appease the public and sweep the many questions about the plight of all Kenyans and our soldiers in Somalia under the carpet.

Why should I participate in gimmicks? I am not part of the Jubilee “Tyranny of Numbers” to sanitise and endorse transgressions. My loyalty remains to those who elected me, and Kenyans who are yearning for accountable and responsible leadership. The days of blind sycophancy should be long gone with the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution
