Of course Ndii didnt mean that Kenya gets balkanised literally.

He must have been more interested in thought provoking than anything else.

That way the article makes sense, otherwise no right thinking person would truly advocate for breaking the Country up in that manner.

Good article for its academic value.

That is what he meant, and I quote:

Quote:
After 70 years of a failed nationalist project, former Yugoslavia’s decade long genocidal wars claimed over 140,000 lives and displaced over 4 million people. To what end?

The country still broke up — balkanised to be specific, into six successful ethnic nations (Serbia may yet yield one or two more). They could have broken up peacefully like the Soviet Union.

What are we waiting for, a genocide? Reke tumanwo (we’d better go our separate ways).

When Sudan broke up, the South Sudanese were ordered to leave the north and "go home". Same with Yugoslavia. You can't have your cake and eat it.

hahaha... you think it's all fun and games until you talk to former Yugoslavians (I know a couple of people from Kosovo and Bosnia) and then you hear them talk about Serbians. When you research and discover that towns like Mitrovica are literally divided into 2! and one side hates the other to death. One flies flags of a foreign country - think of a town in Kenya flying flags of a hated neighbour. Until you understand that Bosnia and Herzegovina has 3 ethnic groups and each has it's president and it's a "council of presidents". Until you talk to one of these guys and he tells you - "WE WILL NEVER FORGIVE THESE PEOPLE! WE NEVER FORGIVE! I WILL TELL MY CHILDREN NEVER TO TRUST THESE PEOPLE." Then you realise @hardwood and @mawinder will never exhibit that kind of tangible hatred to each other - we just hate each other's voting habits.

Things heating up. What Ndii has written is happening we have counties with governors. Counties are already receiving billions from the national gava but the criteria used is a bit confusing.Am OK with Joho when he asks howcome some counties like Nairobi receive about 14B while his receives 4 sijui 7B.This is the same issue the Central leaders posed when they said they contribute more than they get.

The thing should be revenue distributed according to how much has been contributed. I live in a place where devolution has worked for ages and there are national and local taxes. National like the PAYE are distributed nationally just like is the case in Kenya and local taxes stay local and for local development. So if you do not contribute, do not exepct your village road to be tarmacked.
Some people in Kenya have been used to live on others back (look at North Eastern since i was a kid , they have been receiving msaada and NGOS have their field and they are just giving birth because this is used to distribute revenue) .
We have seen in the news how Turkana is converting into agriculture yet this has been the case for ages in places like central.

We now have counties, watch at 2017 who will be elected, and check what has been done for 5 yrs. No more saying central gava.Even Uhunye said the other day county gavas stop saying the projects done by national gava are theirs. This means some gavanas are doing nothing.

This story is a wild fantasy probably meant to keep the masses busy and enthralled with nothing. It goes back to the politics of knowledge. Many of us would lack the capacity to discriminate and use knowledge for political benefit. Ndii will do his articles and earn a name and some money via Wanjikuwood.

But what happens to Wanjikuwood? She gloats in the corruption she's been fed with and will even fight to keep her lowly status.

Slaves!
