Tanzania on Wednesday confiscated the passports of top Kenyan officials, including Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter, and denied them access to the port of Tanga.

However, a delegation from Uganda, led by Energy minister Irene Muloni was allowed to proceed with the tour unmolested.

The top Kenyan officials had began their journey in Lamu, where they inspected the proposed Lamu port before flying to the port of Tanga in Tanzania.

Tanzanian authorities were reportedly paying back Kenya’s failure to invite them to Lamu, or to the talks held at State House, Nairobi, between presidents Uhuru Kenyatta and Uganda’s Yoweri Museveni on Monday.

You know hii mambo of Tanzania hating has to slow down a bit.

Mtembee muone.

TZ has discovered that the difference between them and us right now is education. They are working on that big time.

We know the difference between us and TZ is we thrive on tribalism. We are not working on that.

Our commonality is corruption. Here we give lip service to "mtu wetu". There people are actually being sent to jail at the moment.

Tafakari hayo.

If we lose that port deal with UG, Uhuru should go home kesho. It's not a joke.

Kenyans have been speculating on Lamu and Lapsett. If we lose that oil transfer deal, we are in deep shit.

At last I'm happy with Uhuru who has seen the danger of this happening and actually trying to tune Museveni like the Karumaindo malaya he his.

We need it and lets work to make sure TZ doesn't get that. Otherwise, you will come to understand why some of the best brains in Kenya have refused to leave Arusha and Dar es Salaam.
Thieves are not good people. Tumeelewana?

kenyans usually have an exaggerated air of self importance. i sometimes think its a carry over of british colonialism since the brits are notorious for overrating themselves. in terms of ignorance of what is happening beyond our borders, we are the americans of eastern africa.

i cannot tell you the number of times i cringe on hearing a kenyan claiming kenya is the "best/biggest in east and central africa" on some random statistic. 95% of the time, such claims are total bullshyet and factually false.
All my friends are heathens, take it slow. Wait for them to ask you who you know. Please don't make any sudden moves.
