Is this guy human? Can someone answer me.
I think I have watched all of Barcelona's games this season. The guy is in another league.
Factfile
Born in the Pampas of Argentina. A place called Rosario (remember that old song by Jimmy Reeves?) on 24th June 1987 to Jorge and Maria. Was coached by his father as a boy. At 11 years he was discovered to have a defeciency in growth hormones (hence his short height). Needed treatment which cost $900 a month then. Barca took him on and agreed to pay for his treatment at age 13. Set record for being the youngest player to play for Barca. Has scored 43 goals in 44 appearances this season. He is the best paid player in the world currently.
Downside, I do not think other players are getting any shirt sales proceeds as everyone is buying a Messi shirt.

The guy is perfect. If heeds to squeeze a ball between the ball between defenders, he does it. If heeds to dribble, he does to perfection. If he need to turn at full speed with the ball, he does it. Wiggling through defender .. and the list continues including looping over the ball over a hapless Aluminium. His shots are always on target. No one can manmark him.

Smano, Thanks for being objective....and tell it to Mcdoba once more.....that mgongo mtule by the name Rio can't stop Messi even in another life time!.....Some idiot blogger by the name Walker even believes that Messi mesmerised Silvestre into playing a one-two for the first goal....Can't stop laughing aloud on this one. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

McReggae, I don't think I mentioned anywhere that arses contained Messi at Emirates, he didn't have as good a game that day as jana, and the focus was on Ibra after the two goals from where Barca simply released the pedal, knowing their work was done... The finals last year, we chased shadows in a similar manner, perhaps not to a similar extent...point is, I'm not sure we'd have done a better job...at least Song had a good game against Messi in Emirates BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

Nostopping...no need to get overly emotional, just coz Barca beat us 2 nil (in a final!) and you guys managed 6-3 ( in a 2 legged Quarters!)doesn't mean jackshit or change the final outcome...both teams were outplayed by a better side but in the EPL, we remain head and shoulders over arses...the records speak for themselves... BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

You cannot compare the football Messi-ah to the likes of Potato head (Rooney) and Drogba. Messi is a good dribbler, a playmaker, has pace (i was very suprised), can score with both feet, rarely goes down and can play comfortably in a midfield (including flanks) or forward role.
Rooney and Drogba are what you would call "goal poachers"
BTW wasn't Man u humiliated just the other day by Barca with Ronaldo and Rooney on the pitch?

A player achieves greatness status if he is able to propell not only his club but his country in the World Cup... as much as the boy is very outstanding..the real show is in S.A.
If you guys ever watched Pele and his famous rounding several swedish defenders, Maradona with the stumbling run from mid pitch to goal, Bebeto pushing Italy to the finals in Atlanta only to miss a crucial penalty...
The Icing is always in the duty to country..
otherwise Messi Shall be remembered with the likes of Ronaldihno, Ronaldo(portugal), Figo etc.. and that list is endless...
