Politically, it is not going to be popular. Price controls in ANY non-monopolistic sector are problematic be it fuel or interest rates.
Competition should be encouraged and facilitated which is why I support more banks instead of giving a few banks [eg KCB, Equity, Coop] too much power. The same for OMCs. As a consumer, I want a choice of more providers. The same applies for telecoms, housing, food, supermarkets, etc.
