Havent read it.. havent bothered abt it and wont bother, but my vote is just for that clause that says Mpigs cannot be ministers(secretaries)i.e hold both offices, and the president awachane na siasa..on the whole issue of executive i think this thing does me good..

Yangu weka upande wa YES!!!

but incase imebadilishwa hiyo clause.. then id rather vote NO

@poundfoolish...the MPs will still put their cronies as Ministers, then your reason may no be valid. ..but i hope the vetting process for a Minister will be stringent.
@ Pierce, I had posted a thread on why the church is voting "No"...the contentious issue here is much more towards the Kadhi's courts. The common mwananchi is being cheated that the Kadhi's court has been there and has affected us, but in the prposed constitution, remember, the guys have deleted the clause saying "State and religion are separate.."..that has serious implications. And Christians want to view themselves as 80% of the populations, i doubt they vote as a block...
Leo i hear the church wants to sign an MoU with the politicians so that the kadhi's courts is reviewed after kura...Question is if the cannot honor the National accord, I doubt they will this church/politicians MoU..the church has a pending court case against the Kadhi's courts since 2004...and they still hope to get the MoU honoured? i still doubt...I forsee watu wa "YES" taking this one..I await to see

NO and a BIG NOOOOO..O!!

This draft law empowers Mpigs to introduce abortion in Kenya.

The line 'or if permitted by any other law'in article 26 is intended to introduce abortion through an Act of parliment which does not require 2/3 mpigs to pass.

My vote goes to 'NO'

No .not because of abortion or Kadhi .But 47 armed regional governments,a recipe for disaster.
As for abortion I don't see where the issue is because its only allowed when a mother is at a serious health risk.even if a legislators want to legalise it, it will have to be on a universally acceptable reason

Also an imperial presidency will return us to 'Moi must go' phrase come 2013,if chaos do not finish us after 2012 elections.
