In Dubai, the working week is generally Sunday to Thursday...

Because of the strict nature of the current CBK governor the banks full year results are coming out later than the previous years.Banks are being told full disclosure is a must.
When Dr Patrick Njoroge took over the reins;the head of banking supervision department was replaced and immediately Dubai and Imperial bank were placed under CBK statutory management.
Tis reason why no bank has released Full year results till now.

If the MPigs [elected by Kenyans] are representative of Kenyan voters... then he can't become president coz:
1. He isn't a land-owner [aka grabber].
2. He isn't married.
3. He isn't ostentatious. No SUVs, no mansion, no convoy, no debauchery, no helicopters.

Yep, Many Kenyans are weird like that... They want to see folks misusing funds. Mtu yetu.

Ian Khama of Botswana is unmarried & disciplined. Apparently, he lives an austere lifestyle.
Paul Kagame of Rwanda who gave up part of his ancestral (not grabbed by him or his father) land to squatters. His 'convoy' is 3-4 cars. I have been told at times he drives himself.

If Opus Dei stands for presidency Kenyans including Cord strongholds will vote for him unanimously.

I think we should be much more interested in what system of filtering worked to put Opus Dei in that position. He is only one and cannot be cloned into president, Chief Justice, head of EACC, NSSF Trustee, etc. I am also sure that there are other Kenyans like him, but are kept "where they belong" by a corrupt system. So what needs replication is this system that occasionally works. Think Huduma centers too. They work...

The below statement in the FY 2015 Financial statement

"The Group does not have any material non-controlling interests in any of its subsidiaries except the 25.7 per cent non-controlling interests
amounting to $95 million (2014: $106 million) in Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited. This contributes 3.4 per cent of the Group’s operating
profit and 0.3 per cent of the Group’s assets."

would put the FY 2015 profit before Impairement Losses and Taxation from Stanchart KE at: 3.4% of Operating Profit USD 4,116,000,000 = USD 139,944,00 = ~KES 13.9944 Billion.

There was a profit warning that 2015 FY results would be 25% lower. I guess the Bad loans are too big.

Disclaimer:Shamba analysis.

The sad thing as vvs put is he won't win because one big factor is his ethnic origin. People in kenya would prefer looking at his last name than what he can offer. The more corrupt one is then the more chances he has to be reelected. If busted all they do is run to rural home, Marshall few 300 people and come up with a weird theory that "kabila yetu inamalizwa" and shout slogan as you March towards INTEGRITY HOUSE when called upon.

I don't think opus dei man will last long. Mark my words.he will get tired and resign honorably.he has started stepping on some big people's toes like former govornor wife and the eurobond issue.just wait and see guys. One day he will just call it quits. Cartel watamaliza yeye.that's the day I'll watch kenya as political circus institution

Kenya mafia can't touch opus dei. That's way out of their league. The best they can do is hope they won't get caught.More heart attacks may be on the way.
