my pedestrian assessment - Malindi will be CORD's by a fairly wide margin but JAP will just beat Kanu in Kericho but the margin will be small enough to make it interesting.

Kericho is for KANU!!!

maybe... but uzuri ni ati kuna election ya kuValidate opinions zetu. my call is that it will go to the wire but fall on JAP's side - but tutajua march

What's the difference between KANU and JAP? I would not be surprised if UK is backing the KANU guy chini ya maji. Tame WSR.

KANU in kericho

Apari ndio hio pwana

Quote:
Deputy President William Ruto yesterday apologised to residents of Kericho county over unfulfilled promises.

Speaking in his local dialect, Ruto said he is sorry if they feel neglected by the government or taken for a ride by not fulfilling the pledges he made

Quote:
Keter is my neighbour, I know him. He behaves like a rogue bull charging at everybody on his way,” resident Paul Chirchir said, amid an uproar from the crowd.

He said it is wrong for Ruto as a father to favour one child to the detriment of others.

“I assure you there will be chaos at home,” Chirchir said

Quote:
But when he stood to address the crowd, Ruto first apologised, saying all the pledges made by the government to Kericho will be fulfilled.

He promised a road contractor will be on site in three days.

“If it does not happen within three days, ask me,” the DP said.

He said the contracts have already been awarded and the first phase of the roads to be tarmacked is in Kericho.

Ruto said he was not pledging the goodies because of the by-election, but fulfilling the promises he made.

He messed up when he apologised...Showed weakness...when you do that hyaenas will shag your wife...Never ever show weakness.

JAP is ill fated and has failed to capture the imagination of voters. It's PNU Mark II.
A quick U turn should be considered.

I told a Japanese friend that the mess with the teachers was going to bite them. Do you know how powerful a teacher is in Kericho?

and that would be the end of jubilee the ripple effect of that loss would be unstoppable the only thing that would stand between uhuru and 1 term presidency is a serious implosion in CORD.

Machozi's political value will go down significantly if he can't deliver that seat.

Still early days even if they lose. There will be more twists and turns. Actually, failure might be a blessing in disguise because it would serve as a wake up call and stir up the RAO fear factor!

Rift Valley is a very funny place.... they vote in a very inward manner - I suspect (not based on any facts I have seen today) that watafanya maajabu! Kanu may shangaa! The whole thing about Kaleos is that they are difficult to read! they will show up in large numbers to your meetings e.t.c. but they know who they will vote for. Maybe right now they are silently getting amused by this debate.. Anyway... March tutajua

Fight gets dirty. Now Machozi claims Gideon is UNCIRCUMCISED.

More of the same. People are still going to vote based on personalities. Changing from Ruto to Gidieon is not the solution.

Who is talking about the tea problem in Kericho and how to deal with it?

Ruto vs Moi: insults hit the trail

Are tribal languages inherently violent? Because when the rubber meets the road and push comes to shove, they degenerate into tribal slurs.

The Star is facing heat this morning for their headline but they covered their back making sure even the sound clip is embedded online...
