@kichwatu: Thanks for your querry. Let me say that it is difficult to give you a quote blindly because that woud depend on a number of factors like the vehicle make and model, the condition of the vehicle etc which i cannot ascertain before seeing the vehicle. We are located at kenyatta Market off Mbagathi way, Galexon House next to Galexon Hotel. kindly pay us a visit so that we can be able to give you a correct quote. can get intouch on autoscananddiag@gmail.com

I think i've seen it on a totally different car, and it was something to do with a cable. Kwani how big (or how small) is that tank :)

I think..... it's probably the only way to change the colour of a car. Or did you mean to ask if it's worth changing the colour of a car? If so... how does this affect the logbook?

You NEED to or you WANT to? Consider the cost and quality of job. (value of car?) It should be straight forward... but first check with Road Transport Dept. KRA .... I believe it will require you to have the logbook changed to indicate new colour. Incidentally Taxis are going yellow. Whose idea was that? Obama's? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1cFbPv0qRc

@Banyamulenge: your problem is common with modern vehicles which rely on sensors in many operations in the car. Every mechanical part if controlled by an electronic unit which gets instructions from the ECU(Engine control unit) as adviced by either of the sensors. Older vehicles used to rely on a cable for speedometer operations but that has ceased. we now have speed sensors which relay the speed n form of voltage transmitted to the speedometer through the ECU. One of those sensors could be dead and thats why the speedometer is dead!
