So a muslim man stole - when we are being told they don't steal because there is some laws. It seems despite the laws a muslim can still be a thief and he can steal despite the laws.

Islam is perfect, Muslims are not, so don't be confused brother.

I hope you won't interpret it as self-importance if I inform you that the laws of Islam is derived from the Quran, which is 100% the literal word of God: beyond reproach and inviolable.

Now, Muslims are human beings and are susceptible to corruption and can deliberately be misguided and go on the wrong path.

So the law is there as deterrent.
