That is okay with me. We have no business being in any football tournament as long as that Nyamweya thief is the one running our football and that clueless, hopeless Wario fellow is CS for sports. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Harambee stars players now saying coach Bobby Williamson is to blame because he does not knows jack about tactics. I have suspected this for a while. For example, Gor Mahia improved dramatically when Williamson was replaced by Nuttall. And do you know Williamson is paid Ksh 2m per month. It goes to show you that both Nyamweya and Wario are useless That money is better spent on other football activities like youth development.

Seems to me that somehow the crowd always know better than the leaders. Ordinary Kenyans know Wario can't hack it put our Rais thinks he can. The whole world know Arsenal suffer injuries in Novemver but the Manager doesn't...I got to look for the book titled 'wisdom of the crowd' Truth forever on the scaffold Wrong forever on the throne (James Russell Rowell)

In serious Countries, Football Federations first look for a technical director, who will help the Federation determine, what style of Football their National team will adopt. In kenya, we don´t even know what system suits us. This Bobby Wiliamson found guys who are naive and he decided to milk them dry.

True The most important action item would be to enforce youth systems among all KPL teams and the technical director would perform quality assurance duties on each of the youth teams. In Germany there is a rule that every first and second tier club must have youth teams for U-13, U-16 and U-19. The national federation is in charge of making sure that each of the youth systems adhere to appropriate standards. And you wonder why Germany wins the world cup so many times? Here in Kenya we have young boys kicking ball ya jwala which does not allow them to learn ball control or other technical aspects. Worse still their football fields are being grabbed left and right so they have nowehere to sharpen their skills. 60% of Nairobian youth live in slums which means they have literally no space to play.

For honouring his contract.Just being there. Remember Winston Bogarde ? He appeared eleven times during his four-year contract with Chelsea reportedly earning £ 40,000 a week! Truth forever on the scaffold Wrong forever on the throne (James Russell Rowell)

In Germany, there are even organising something for kindergarten kids. They meet once a week and they get taught basic things pertaining to football. I watched how Gor Mahia conceded their weekend goals and one could not fail to see lack of technical knowledge among Gor Defenders.

Thats what happens when the FKF chair and the minister for sports do not have a clue about football. BTW the ministry of sports also agreed to this salary. Goes to show that Wario knows next to nothing

They should have a basic salary and allowances that reward them for every win and no allowances incase of losses. It is only in Kenya we reward mediocrity

some of those criticizing williamson are the same guys who leave their coats on their seats and disappear . The guy was given a job to coach the national team, and with that just as in every other job he expects to get a pay at the end of the specified period.

To become a powerhouse, it does not begin at the senior level, it begins at the junior level. Look at spain and its tikitaka. They began mashinani, where kids were instucted to strictly not play high balls. Whenever, they played high balls, that game would be stopped immediately and they would be send home. We first need to revamp our system and retrain our youth coaches and then get a national coach who mirrors our system and values.

Its always interesting to hear from people who know jack squat about sports Williamson does not deserve a salary of Ksh 2.5m per month. It seems the Kenya government is always eager to pay people 3 or 4 times what they would make elsewhere. His previous salary was Ksh 500,000 per month. How he deserves a 500% increase is a mystery. And as others have pointed out, paying a coach a high salary will not raise the standards or Kenya football. That money is better spent at grassroots and youth level. Throwing all the money at senior level is like trying to teach a pupil fractions yet he does not know basic addition and subtraction. To be a good in sports, we have to invest in proper youth development in drilling our youth and instilling the appropriate technical skills Our priorities are backwards. No wonder we lag in football.
