Every Conbstituency in Nairobi should actually have their own city hall and manage alone their roads, waste and provide any other social amenities. Actually, a population of more than 30,000 people should have their own town to run their own matters. There you can apply for title deeds, register your car, apply for IDS and Passport. They should also collect all the revenue. My Professor once said, i wonder why Africans just can´t copy what is working here in the west and implement them back in Africa. The blue print is already there

Nope.
We cherish mathogothanio, chaos and dirt not forgeting stench. We are allergic to order, peace and cleanliness. We flourish and thrive where dirt and noise is.I believe it gives some a sense of belonging.. sentimental I think. None cares about the environment and or its impact. It's not a priority because all we worry about is eat, work, pick noses relieve ourselves and sleep. The rest is not a personal responsibility we assume. If you can't change mind sets they will change you.

I, me, myself personally! Thats the rot right there.

How many places do you know where water, overgrown grass, dirt et al collects outside a guys place and s/he does nothing about it. Never mind that the mosquitos, flies, vermin thereof, will end up inside s/his house!

When you think about it, it why corruption thrives here. Kenyans are much too docile. Proactivity only appears in sin (fisi, theft etc)

It's not that easy. One time we hired someone to unclog the drainage on our road and he was promptly arrested by kanjo. Kanjo warned us that we should never again interfere with kanjo property and that we should restrict our activities within the boundaries of our plots ie within the 4 corners of your plot. That we were supposed to go to kanjo and report there is a blocked drainage and they do their job.
