Is the amount cited for real? Why should anybody pay a bribe that is more than three times the full term (5yrs) salary?

How much is spent on Presidential & governor elections? All over the world the amounts are huuuge! How much do office holders earn?

Yeah... those people don't go to garment to earn salaries - they actually take pay cuts in order to get those positions.

This is the one that got away. I wonder how many briefcases the old man has received in his long career.
May be I should start loitering around petrol stations, I might grab a briefcase full of dollars.

Quote:
Mr Chirchir Masit, who was among the elders who tried to mediate in 2014, said they pulled out all the stops to get in touch with Justice Tunoi, including roping in a former Eldoret mayor, to no avail.

“Unfortunately, we were unable to meet the judge, who is a respected man in the community. The boy (Mr Kiplagat) later told us he had stopped taking his calls. I think that is when he decided to go public,” Mr Masit told Saturday Nation.

“We are very worried. Those he entered the deal with will be held responsible if anything happens to him. This issue should not be politicised as it touches on corruption and whistleblowers,” said Mr Masit.

In Chepkorio, Lelmet, as Mr Kiplagat is better known, was described by neighbours as “an outgoing person”, a “cheerful go-getter” and “a man of the people.”

“He is a very hard working and ambitious man. We are surprised to hear people describing him as an extortionist,” said Mr Joseph Ruto, the Elgeyo-Marakwet ODM chairman.

“Why should he lose his life for assisting people as per their agreement? Si apewe tu haki yake (he should get his dues). Utafaidika nini ukiwacha mtoto akilia na unakunywa maziwa (What will it benefit you if you enjoy milk when the child is crying?” asked Mr Ruto.

It doesnt work like that my friend...unless there's someone who has claimed a bribe was given

same way i don't see ahmednasir's intended application going anywhere. unless they can prove that bribing tunoi (if the claims are true) resulted in the other judges who held for kidero holding that way. which would mean that the other judges were also compromised. and it is the same judges of the supreme court who ruled for kidero who are to rule on whether or not their ruling was influenced by bribery.

The JSC believes that the judge had "interactions with Kidero's representatives", interactions they term as inappropriate (those sms's did it for him). That creates doubt that the judge's ruling was not influenced by this moneys

For the kalenjin community this is one very difficult situation the accuser is a KIPLAGAT had it been a macharia or oluoch the siege mentality would have automatically kicked in.

Rallies would have been held ,ultimatums issued a fiery keter would have called a press conference talking about URP this JAP that.

On this one everyone watches from the sidelines

Baba, the master of impunity, and defender of thieves, drug dealers and other scum, now says we should go slowly on Kidero.

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero deserves a fair
hearing over the bribery allegations facing him.

Why would he has said that when UK had already said that? Remember baba is in opposition not government and as the name suggests , his work is to oppose anything that the government says or does!
If Obiero did it, Who Am I?
