Joho is a ruto reincarnate of 2007 back then ruto would have taken a bullet for raila. Raila should also treat some of this acts with caution which will only be used to blackmail him in the future.Expect to hear joho say "Remember i named a street after his son" not far from now.

They are saying Fidel's only contribution to Kenya was crime - phombe, bangi, mihadarati and harassing/ threatening other motorists with machetes and guns. Not to mention he was wanted in the US for bangi and petty theft.

Several Jubilee politicians from Mombasa have threatened to pull down the new Fidel Odinga Road sign, saying there are more deserving individuals.

The road was renamed on Wednesday from 'New Nyali Road' in honour of Cord leader Raila Odinga's son who died on January 4, 2015.

Matano Chengo said it was not right to rename the road after Fidel while Mombasa has "very famous individuals who deserve that kind of honour".

Chengo proposed the road be renamed after Professor Ali Mazrui, who "lectured for several years in reputable universities of the world" before his death in 2014.

"Why haven’t they renamed any road after Mazrui? We also have other prominent individuals like Mekatilili wa Menza who deserve that honour," he said.

"What contribution did Fidel make for Kenya leave alone Mombasa? We are demanding that sign post be pulled down and the road given another name."

"We will not allow our roads to be given names of individuals who do not have any relevance to our region. We will organise demonstrations to ensure that sign post is pulled down," he said.

A lawyer shouldn't walk away from facts. He should confront the facts and make his 'professional opinion' known to all.

The planned change of the name of the New Nyali Road to Fidel Odinga Street in honour of Cord leader Raila Odinga’s son has been met with criticism.

The road is to be renamed Wednesday in memory of Fidel Odinga, who died on January 4 last year.

The Cord leader is expected at the ceremony to be held in Mombasa.

However, Jubilee Alliance Party Mombasa County Chairman Ali Mwatsahu said renaming the road would be a betrayal to the history and respect of the Coast people since there were many prominent people who qualify to be immortalised in street names.

“Why not name the road Mekatilili wa Menza, after the Giriama freedom fighter? Why not name it after one of our many heroes who symbolise our identity and history as Coast community?” he asked.

“We shall not allow it. Some of those at the county government, in fact, are foreigners, having come in sailor ships and do not understand the history of Mombasa or the Coast,” he said without elaborating.
