Could be electrical as one @julie has said. Had this happen to me on a BL5 intermittently, one or two times the 'power' light would flash on in flat terrain and easy speeds of 70kph...
Luckily, the problem revealed itself when the battery ran down and guys had to boost me. To start, usually the after-market cutout system has to be disabled. I drove off without re-enabling it and there was not a single lurch the entire 200km journey. The kubaff alarm system was faulty and interfering with the car's electrical power system.
Hope you get a solution. Keep us informed.

A toyo increases your chances of getting shot in a carjacking. Kwanza RAV4....its like painting a target on your back. Wee kaa lane yako... 😁 each to his own. But we shouldn't digress. Do you have a suggestion for the OP?

@ Ngoyoyo,
Have the mechanics checked the power distribution coil and high tension leads leading to the spark plugs?

Start there.....if any of those is faulty, then you get jerking as described by you.

Good luck

yep. ..and avoid engine washes
I may be wrong..but then I could be right

How is that? If the jackazz are after you, it does not matter what car you drive. Even non toyos are having their parts ripped off in traffic smile
You will know that you have arrived when money and time are not mutually exclusive "events" in you life!

Hehehe. Glad you asked. There are criminal syndicates who place "orders". When that happens, criminals put out feelers and if you own one that meets the spec, guys start stalking you...and your gate. Then soon after they strike. This has happened to 2 people I know.
A gangster made a confirmation call 'boss, tumepata ile gari' while holding a pistol to the guy's head, his shoe on his neck on the backseat floor. The other one they jacked him at his gate as the watchie fumbled to open where they told him a chilling 'leo tumekupata'. The cars were the new shape RAV4 and the new shape Fielder respectively.

While you can be jacked in any car, chances are in another brand they want to rob your other valuables, while in a toyo, they are targetting the car.
