We are in a war, and anyone playing into the enemy's propaganda is as good as being part of them.

Somalia doesn't have to be stable and secure for Kenya to be stable and secure. It shouldn't be awfully important for us to know or have a say on who runs Somalia. Look at the link about that AS defector. He hasn't said he's averse to picking weapons and protecting what he thinks is his. He's just being a reasonable politician, trying to find some balance in this whole game. That's Al Shabaab preserving itself. So it's our responsibility to learn how to co-exist with AS. For example the AS attacking the Kenyan army is justified as per this defector.

If they attack we attack, if they refrain we refrain. If they want to do business, we do business. If we want to do business with them we negotiate. Or if we want to use violence, then fine! We accept we'll suffer violence. We live with them 'hapa ki hapa'. Our soldiers have no business staying there. If we attack, we attack from home.

Kenyan youth should also be AS the defector's kind of way. Even if that means we have a big army, as in every one being a soldier. At least militia level at Kibera, Dandora... everywhere. That way our politics will change, our country will even be more democratic. Somalia will also have to be democratic and stable to survive.

Victory for KDF and our State in this case is surviving and flourishing despite the tendency for anarchy and violence. The AS, at least the defector's version should also flourish. We should champion and utilize a win-win strategy even in our domestic politics. The elite should protect the poor and the common man and the common man protect the elite. Or rather, we let this mutual protection the result of radical action by all parties.

Just like in other professions,we have specialized guys eg heart surgeons, scene of crime officers, bank robbers etc, special forces is a generic name for all specialties in the force.

All allegations of charcoal trade are false. NTV couldn't find any evidence after extensive tour of kismayo and Jubaland. It is the alkebabs that were doing the trade.

Alma, have you not seen that it is the trend worldwide for freedoms to be increasingly curtailed in the light of emerging security issues? Why would you think it would be any different here?

At least away from the gossip and rumors, went to the ground to show what is happening. I like it when news organizations follow up on stories, we need to continue growing up not giving air time to some guy claiming that his political opponents wanted to finish him after he bribed voters, then his side kicks hold hands like little girls jumping up and down the road.

My personal views on the issue of freedom of expression are going to remain that. Personal. As to the issue of using laws to arrest people of divergent views, even those shall remain personal views and won't be shared in public.

The only views you will hear from me is that Kenya is a good country.

I have just seen pics from the attack online, we can no longer deny that the attack was on the Kenyan Base. Expect the video to follow suit soon. But amidst all these, how comes the Ethiopian forces are seldom attacked?
