It appears that KDF were warned about the impending attack hours before it happened, at least according to this article. So why didn't they call for aerial reinforcements?

And how was Al Shaitan able to move past two checkpoints?

It is inevitable that a KDF base in Somalia will be attacked by Al Shaitan at some point. So they must have had contingency plans in place.

Are KDF being let down by poor leadership and zero accountability again ama vipi?

The first vehicle reportedly approached the Somali National Army (SNA) camp, which was empty during the time of attack. It is at this point that the militia then drove the second vehicle towards the Kenyan camp gate located 600 metres away, expecting the KDF team to respond to the SNA allies

Funny isn't it? plus locals disappearing just hours to attack!

When Americans or other foreigners are killed in Afghan, the locals celebrate regardless of age more so the ones who get a living from working in the military bases!
My personal conclusion is,any help to a muslim from a non muslim is a waste of time!Sad

A lot of people were jubilant when a few individuals strategically thought it good for them to shield certain folk a few weeks ago. "Muslims," said they, "have stood together with Christians against terrorists!" Thankfully, some were not fooled.

Your problem is that you are still a fool.

You do know that many of those Kenyans who died are actually Muslims?

You and Alshabaab are actually the same breed of humans.

I swear I did not know I was describing you. I hastily refer you to Guru267. Perhaps you want to talk with her? She is kind, generous and perhaps willing to define to you these intricacies. Accept and move on....

If you have personal issues with Guru please grow some balls and talk to her personally.

I'll repeat again.

There's no difference between you and the Alshabaab who kill people simply because they are not happy with the other's religions.

This stupid narrative spread by pseudo Christians needs to be challenged.

I'm just from seeing a Facebook post by a young Muslim man who's last message to his family on Facebook was to ask Allah to help him fight Al-Shabaab.

He died to keep you yapping on wazua about how patriotic you are.

Then I come here and see the Christian Al-Shabaabs posting their nonsense.

Those young men did not think about odm, pnu, christian, muslim and all this crap I see here.

They fought together as men. The least you can do is say thank you and question how and why they died for you.
Thieves are not good people. Tumeelewana?

You sound like USA just before they pulled out of Afghanistan...

Just accept and move on... Somalis do not want you in their land!

Which Somalis? Do you mean the somalia govt that controls 80% of the country and has welcomed KDF to help secure the country or the ragtag alkebabs who are on the run and cornered in southern somalia?

Busy gallivanting huko coast...

He doesnt have to be in nairobi to handle the issue. He can do it from statehouse mombasa, malindi or kisumu. Also Omamo and Mwathathe are doing a good job.

As I said he will be ruling from all corners of Kenya. <LINK>

It is fool hardy to believe that any national good will come out
Of this war in Somalia. What is the objective? Occupy Somalia? For how long? How will we know al shabab has been defeated and not just gone underground? If indeed there is a so called National Goverment in charge of 80%, why cant this national govt control the 20%? Why cant they be given the necessary arms and suport to be able to subdue the terrorists among them? Its a useless unwinnable war. The so called National govt is itself weak and full of factions. As soon as " common enemy" al shabab is sorted, it will fall apart again.

So you prefer that AMISOM/KDF and somali govt 'withdraw' from what you call a "useless unwinnable war" and let alkebabs occupy and control that blue area neighbouring kenya? Do you know the consequences of such action on Kenya?

Also since the somali govt kicked out alkebabs in the 80%, somali is booming and rising from the ashes. The govt wants to take control of the remaining 20% currently under alkebabs.

Mr. Issa, Alma says your death is important and that it has set me free at least to yap on Wazua. As a staunch christian and your wali, he thinks I should repent to you and say thank you for dying for me on the field. He also says I should question how and why you died for me yet I should not really question certain hows and whys. I would have preferred you stayed here at home even if still in the army because I know of certain people who feel very strongly against the zalimun and perhaps also equally strongly against taking of zalimun as auliya. It is sad you have already met them. But Allah is most merciful he might take Alma's anti pseudo christian rant into consideration.

Anything else, o almighty Wazua police?

Thank you @alma for pointing to some sense.

Personally, I lost a cousin brother, a Muslim. I also lost a neighbour, the village is currently mourning, a Christian.

Both of these men were serving in KDF. They didn't go there wishing to die, but to server our country.

Misinformed people here just talk and talk and hate anyone who is not in their religion.

How can these people call themselves learned?
