it's madness.... I asked... do african traditional religions have their school? If God came to me last night and asked me to go preach kwa basi ya kuenda Naks - will I tell him I need to go to some school?

if to you a school is a room with walls then I get where the anger from Christians is coming from, but just for your knowledge african traditional religions have very strict schooling before you deemed fit to lead the various rites.

What if I come up with an interpretation of the bible today that bans going to school for theological training? Or even better I claim that God told me that last night?

Masukuma why are you still "discussing" with Sitaki?

Tell him to tell Uhuru to pass that law...Somethings are better off explained in practice.

the 'nigonge utaona' school of thought is an interesting one.
Well as @masukuma tribes men said, 'kiguoya kia inukiire nyina'

mmmhhh I don't know why speaking in English is such a challenge to some of us.

Rather than speak in tongues on wazua, I'll sit down and watch the gov't passing that law as is. Too tired to debate today or tomorrow.

You know some in the church are spreading this line that you do not need any training, that its a calling, I mean even God put down a book so that you have some structure in spreading his word. thats why even if God speaks to you many find it prudent to back it up with the written word.

Its not a chaos we are looking at, even God has order.

Yes... the penal code takes care of this. The principle here is your rights end where mine begin

I could argue that God did not put that book up (or he would have done a better job). As discussed on this forum before the bible's history is actually questionable

Whose God? If I came and said you all are fake coz your God is fake (invisible looks like non existent) and worshipped a pile of the almighty dollars... like a tidy sum of like 1.3Billion dollars.... My God would not have the order you are saying your non existent God has.

which one? The Christian one, the Muslim one? the Buddhist one? the [INSERT RELIGION HERE] one? so if I have a god in a sanamu and claim that he/she/it is almighty and created everything... does he/she/it apply because I claim he/she/it is almighty? Is Asis or Ngai or [INSERT SOME TRADITIONAL GOD HERE] considered Almighty God?

All religions agree on some "God" be it Hindu Muslim, traditional all who the constitution of Kenya which is why the supreme law of the land acknowledges.

Contrary to what many here want us to believe, these rules govern all religions (Hindu, Muslim Christians etc)

If ngos are regulated why not churches mosques and temples?

We are not a theocracy. Very few things in a church can be regulated justifiably. You cannot, for instance, tell an Evangelical to desist from telling people they must be saved to receive eternal life.

The rest of the things are internal to church hierachy(where it is present). We cannot start legislating on these spiritual things. NGOs are just money in and spend on projects. Churches are much more. Eternal life, spiritual nourishment, ministering to the sick etc

The cons will be there, have been there...

But this writer seems to agree with you on gagging churches http://nairobinews.natio...ts-deserve-to-be-gagged/

Religions are many, can't speak for any BUT the Bible doth endorse the law of the land, and says that its leader is annointed. Christians are theby bound to SERVE and OBEY said leaders, wapende wasipende.

I learnt long ago not to try fight God's battles. He created, He created everyone else. If He deems you are out of place, He has all it takes to sort you. Greater men have come and gone. As has kingdoms. The Word remains.
