Anyone want to explain who Wainaina is. Some of us are clueless

Some guy at City council

Don't ask me why but with the recent gov't actions, property prices shall begin to drop. The bubble my friend is real.

Does this mean the Anti-corruption war may have started to bite, albeit slowly? Reminds me that the NYS guys can not enjoy the properties they bought...might be a long time before they do, if they will ever do.

Why cant the gova aka KRA aka EACC or whoever just map major urban cities and move from building/structure to next talking details of ownership and reconcile with tax remittance. Wengi wanaweza bambwa!!!!

I don't think that would be of much help, most building are owned by watu wa kitambo, mostly muhindis and guys who bought from the same many years back.
Thats why they are focusing more on tax on rent.

I believe that process, if managed well will be nabbing landlords, tenants and agents into the tax systems. It is only that nothing works for us!!!! PIN is not effectively utilised by gava and KRA!!!

Now the suspect is "admitted" at Karen hospital same day he was supposed to appear in court....huh!....and his lawyer, well, who else other than good old Cliff. If only lawyers would stop representing thieves.

I observed that when he was heading into the eacc, he was yelling "relax!", "relax!", it puzzled me why he was telling people to relax, so i concluded he was telling himself loudly to relax because ukimupima na macho size you may conclude hbp, etc, it could be a serious case not like the other Mpig. Just thinking Pray this anti corruption war is serious!!! Ukishikwa roho inapiga kama drum!!!

i have never understood this dictator thing. i am assuming you are talking about a benevolent dictator or a ruthless benevolent dictator btw as i can't see any positive from a ruthless dictator. dictators stay in power because they have 'enablers' without whom they can't stay in power. all these enablers are in it for their own interest. now how long can the mythical benevolent dictator last in say the present kenyan government when they try to do away with corruption, tribalism, tax evasion etc?

and on the no need for re-election mantra, i can see that working so well given how presidents on their second terms have been so efficient here in kenya.
