How refreshing to get the day's paper and the front page story is not politics???Applause
Once again I've been reminded of why I should be proud to be Kenyan.
God Bless you all Kenyans and God Bless Kenya! Amen.

BBI will solve it

It came as a "surprise.....but it's up to the media.I wish they could cover more of this positive news than stale news from some expired brains.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Don't u love the way we applaud our fellow Kenyans but on reaching home we instantly categorise them into this and that tribe? And they also contribute to this sad situation by retreating into their tribal cocoons when only their tribesmen meet them at JKIA and then they proceed to their home/shags immediately thereby instantly reducing a Kenyan hero to a tribal hero...hoping for the day when they will take a chopper lap of honour through each of Kenya's 8 (so far) provinces before going home. I will applaud each and every one of them for raising my country's flag high and ensuring the our national anthem is the only one played at the stadium.

But very very good news from a frigid Poland !
This is the kind of headline news to wake up to, not the unending shenanigans of some silly MPig. BTW, more and more Kenyans are now talking in favour of giving the politicians a media blackout - like 3 months hivi. I hope this grows into a major groundswell that the media houses will no longer ignore.

There is nothing wrong with being tribal. The problem arises when you lack respect for the opposite tribe. That mainly arises when politicians start beating there tribal drums against the opposite tribes. That is when the athletes going back home is hijacked by politicians and that when it goes wrong.
We are not a homogenous nation and we should never ever think we will be.
I am proud to be Kenyan, Im proud of my tribe, and im proud of our athletes. God bless Kenya.

@Intell That's really not fair. These are young unknown athletes who spend years in what you call shags training! They are totally unknown to us, and we don't even help them. We only celebrate the day they win gold. If I was one of them I would do the same. Go celebrate with the ones who helped you and understand what this achievement means.
By the way, would you make time to go meet them when they land or should that be left to others?
