There are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope

It is too early to celebrate! There is no profound support to propel this stock forward. Maybe mid 2016.

Kk. The gift that has started giving. Shares spike around this time due to few participants. However this is foretaste of what is to come.

Kk is that you up 9@% it is so long since I saw you like this.

myStocks has 9.55 for that block.

I doubt it will stay at 9.55 as other sellers come into the market but IMHO (& biased) opinion, it is worth a lot more than 9.55 as the good results for 2015 filter through.

The current Brent oil prices are trending down [sub-40] and now that the USA has allowed exports of oil products the WTI-Brent margin is now minimal. The lifting on the ban on exports should allow the US to be a more effective swing producer.

What does this mean for Kenya & KK?

Barring any crazy volatility due to war/attacks in the Middle East oil prices will remain low.

1) Reduction in financing costs. Same volume = lower amount of loans/financing
2) Volume growth. Lower fuel prices means more folks travel.
3) Better margins. 6/- on 80/- is better than 6/- on 120/-.

Better days [ceteris paribus] are coming.

*Real Estate types. What's the value of 1 acre in CBD along Haile Selassie/Uhuru Highway?*

Let's say 1 acre is 50% of what @streetwise says it is = 1bn for 1 acre at the corner of Haile Selassie and Uhuru Highway.

KK has 1.5bn shares so a 'revaluation' of that plot [as would happen when the zoning is changed or a new use e.g. office building comes up] adds KES 0.66 to the NAV.

I have seen multiple plots in Nairobi & Mombasa that KK owns and can be considered 'prime' locations. KK does not revalue properties on their books on a regular basis like C&G or Williamson but I believe there is value hidden in plain sight.

In other words, what's the break-up value of KK?

JKUAT bought 163,788sf [gross lettable space] on 0.674 acres for KES 1.85bn. That's land with a large building. I wish I could get a better idea on the value of the Haile Selassie piece!

I told you this counter has no monumental support but you crusaders grinned broadly and scoffed me badly. Now you are languishing with whimsy in a major bloodletting battlefield where most of you are left wounded beyond wisely written opinions!
