This is an important conference; let us not miss the import of it as a result of our political side shows.

This one is too complex and serious for side shows, no politician will talk about it. Our politicians like the events where they can score some cheap points.

Are you sure? In the spirit of endless complaining Jubilee Mpigs should take up the mantle and whine about endless visitors to the country as a counter to UK's endless travels.

This is a no go zone, they do not understand development.

Why should they pay attention to the efforts aimed at easing international trade barriers while they run their own local empires based on shafting the citizenry, creating enabling environments is a foreign thing to them as long as their voters remain poor the better for them.

Nairobi talks have finally gotten a breakthrough on the Information Technology Agreement (ITA) signed on Wednesday by 54 World Trade Organisation (WTO) members.

The pact, effectively becomes part of the 201 items of the expanded range of products covered by the agreement and eliminates tariff on various Information Communication and Technology (ICT) goods.

The biggest tariffs cut in 18 years of the History of WTO unlocks trade worth billions of dollars.

It is estimated that ITA countries account for 97 per cent of world trade, trading about Sh102 trillion ($1 trillion) annually, which is nearly one-fifth of global merchandise trade.

"This treaty is the biggest for WTO in more than a decade and it shows that compromise can be reached setting an example for the next few days here in Nairobi," WTO Director General Roberto Azavedo said.

WTO Director General (Roberto Azevedo) is said to have been very happy about the breakthrough saying such a significant achievement of the Nairobi talks will eliminate tariffs of such a large magnitude.

How is the above going to make it easier for an average married guy to lay someone other than his wife?
