These deals and agreements never used to be made public.Seems most of them are power deals and underground cabling of power lines,I hope those ugly KPLC poles and power lines will soon disappear in our city! Quote:1. An MoU with the China National Machinery Import Export Corporation for the 108 km Nyahururu (Rumuruti)–Maralal 132 kV transmission line and sub-stations
2. An MoU with sefco group for the Lamu–Lokichogio 220 kV double circuit transmission line and sub-stations for lapsset
3. An MoU with Shangdong Taikai Power Engineering for the Turkwel–Lodwar and Rangala–Busia 132 kV double circuit and sub-stations
4. An MoU with China National Complete Plant Import and Export Corporation (complant) for construction of the Meru–Maua and Ishiara—Chogoria 132 kV single circuit line with sub-stations,
5. A commercial contract with camce for the 247 km Garissa-Bura-Hola-Garsen 220 kV line and sub-stations
6. An MoU with Machinery and Engineering Corp (cmec) for construction of Menengai–Rongai, Silali–Rongai and Isinya–Nairobi East 400 kV double circuit line and sub-stations
7. An MoU with Poly Technologies for under-grounding and insulation of overhead network in Mombasa and Kisumu, including automation in Kisumu
8. A commercial contract has been executed with sefco group for an underground distribution network in Nairobi (in Kilimani, Hurlingham, Ngong Road, State House and Lavington)
9. An MoU has been concluded with China National Electric Wire & Cable Import/ Export Corporation for 41 new distribution substations in Western
10. An MoU with Taikai for underground cable lines in Thika, and Nakuru business districts, a switching station in Parklands, a 66kV Ruaraka–Parklands cable and a 132 kV Bamburi–Mtwapa line and associated substations.
11. A commercial contract is being finalised for supply, installation and commissioning of an underground power–cable network in Industrial Area and Upper Hill in Nairobi.
12. A commercial contract will soon be finalised between kplc and nari group for the design and construction of an underground electric power distribution network in Kileleshwa, Westlands, Parklands, Ngara, Riverside and surrounding areas.
13. An MoU was concluded with Beijing Electric Power for an underground power-cable network in Dagoretti, Karen and Langata.
My only question is why is UK involved in commercial contracts being entered into by government entities? If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

Quote:The cost of Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka’s frequent trips abroad is in the spotlight as a restless population grapples with the rising cost of living.
A review of Mr Odinga and Mr Musyoka’s diaries reveals that each has been making as many as three foreign trips a month, translating into millions of shillings in travel and accommodation expenses.
Only last month, the PM spent close to three weeks on official visits to the US and France while Mr Musyoka has just returned from a week-long tour of India.
Barely two days after returning to the country from the tour of US and France, the PM was again off to Zimbabwe last Friday to open the third Movement for Democratic Change congress in Bulawayo.
On Wednesday, Mr Odinga was once again off to Cape Town, South Africa, to attend the World Economic Forum on climate change.

My only question is why is UK involved in commercial contracts being entered into by government entities? His mother is a major shareholder in KPLC. http://www.businessdaily.../-/u6jkq7z/-/index.html
