Nakumatt or Tuskys,who`s bigger?

Anyone mentions Naks and I get nostalgic from my college days. The town where it can rain like crazy and not long after,there is hardly a trace. Completely loved the place and the environs. Hope to one day retire to such a serene environment. Well,minus the occasional tribal tensions in Molo. I could never quite figure the obsession with mattresses though.

Nakumatt is bigger if you look at Alcohol sale... Tuskys = 0! aint that BIG!

Thats a superb facts you have.Can you still confirm,the view,which i strongly believe,that Nakumatt do have some substancial shares in Tuskys. I even understand one of the director of Nakumatt is based at Tuskys h/office! They also seems to share/benefit from economies of scale,with Nakumatt Trucks being used to deliver supplies to Tuskys.

uchumi mattresses became woolmart-also owners of trans mart in eldoret

Uchumi bit the dust and scattered

stagematt became huge but had to sell off three branches to tuskys after PEV. they are still there withfewer branches

Gilanis expanded tremendously but still no branches

Ukwala joined the fray

romoured Nakumatt is to make a comeback

New kid on the block called Quickmatt....the next chain?

I think what made Nakuru dukawallas so adept at retail business was early exposure and thrift, preparing them for the national stage
I may be wrong..but then I could be right

Depends on clientele. Nakumatt has made it bigtime just visit Nakumatt westgate and Nakumatt Ukay - u will be supprised.Its always Packed that ka-road should even be renamed to Nakumatt Lane.

Tuskys is also catching up especially with their bakery section.

Just curious,
Does Tusky's own the T-Mall building or are they renting?If they own it ,has it been built using their own funds or borrowed cash?

Overall i think nakumatt is bigger than tuskys but that said the latter is catching up quickly esp. with their expansions into the estates while nakumatt target the more upmarket areas. also Naivas is making inroads into territory formerly held by nakumatt eg along Thika rd.
