Islam has social,political and militant aspects to it and unlike the west, it is has very little room for change. This is a point of contention between the west and nations that heavily rely on sharia law.
This superficial call to peace and love ignores the fact that your ideals and views on the matter are not universal and others will profess and act on their own ideals and views.
