This crash perfectly sums up our society. The effects of corruption while buying the planes, the failure to honour simple service requirements due to a dont care attitude; diverting of funds for maintanance. Does it ever occur to the fatcats that there corruption could have a direct effect on their lives. Corruption in Ministry of Health causes death in all parts of kenya, corruption in police leads to increased crime.
@ Magigi.
Your views are pretty narrow, the difference with the UK and kenya is there is action as we speak in regards to the expenses. There is a level of sense in addressing issues.
We are being fleeced by Uhuru with dubious figures, but none of you would comment or make a fuss as he is 'our guy'. It is OUR taxes for heavens sake. All journalists in the world have political affiliations, look at the journalists given awards by Kibaki in the last two years. Most came from specific news houses. Mr L Gitahi (MD Nation) is a regular in the inner circles of Kibaki s political wing. He has every right to. Similarly,Mr Opanga and Ochieng,Mutahi Ngunyi had a right to.
Wake up and smell the coffee,at least the UK is sorting itself out. Use your energies to ask for better governance and accountability instead of rejoicing about UK.
Infant Mortality Kenya 46 per 1000 births,UK <0.1 per 100. GDP per capita Kenya £340 pa,UK £23000. It is not by accident.
