Tough luck for Arsene's Arsenal but anything is possible

@Taz, just to respond to your earlier comment prior to the draw, IMHO, the Barca of now is quite different (read better) from the Barc that beat you guys in the 2006 final. Agreed?

I have to agree with you that Bayern is not a walk in the park - actually no team at this stage is. Both Man Utd and Bayern know they have a great opportunity to reach the finalseeing as they'll be definitely pit against a French side in the semis. I'm hopeful of a second appearance in the final if we continue our current form in the CL. For now, I'll be cheering them against the Fools on Sun.

Barca are beatable, as Chelsea almost proved in last season's CL! Assnole, however, play Barca's style, and defense is what will matter. Without a doubt, Barca's defense is better than Assnole, objective fans will agree. But then again, this is CL. Ask Real.

So there's my 2 cents. By the way I'll be supporting Assnole in the tie, compe watoke!

This will be a game of pure flowing football, it will be a fantastic match. Barca's defense is poor (not that ours is any better) so scoring goals will not be a problem, all we need to do is figure out a way of controlling Messi!

Like we did in 2007/2008 to lift the cup after Terry's slip! Haki CL can be so unfair in so many ways!C'est la vie!

@mlefu, What are you talking?? Which year's replays were you watching?
The gunners game I watched they won 2-0 while the other title contenders Man-U and Chelski only managed to scrape through the weekend with a 2-1 and 1-1 respectively.
And for a team with no dependable strikers, it's amazing that the Gunners have managed to score the more goals than any other team in the premiership.

BBI will solve it

Terrible game? Controlling possession for 45 minutes and restricting opponents to one real chance while creating a few of your own all that while down to ten men and missing your top defensive unit ???

Terrible game -> leave that to the 1-1 game blackburn vs chelsea.

I'm sure if Man U Chelsea & Liverpool won that - it would be seen to be down to 'grit and determination of champions'.

It is good to sometimes remove our team colour tinted glasses and look at games objectively.

On another note - has anyone made it for one of those flood lit mid week games at Nyayo ?

terrible..again and again..typical end of season game..they have lost the same ways in the previous seasons..they dont improve and tottenham will thrash them..enough said.

aston wasted a home advantage for the fourth position..f*** them, their next victims should be the ones to pay..chelski is the team to beat.

fools..i will leave them to walk.

chelski won't take two beatings in a row --draw at Blackburn hehehehe...overconfidence and a loss to Aston--..by default nuggus will pay for it..

that leaves the "to be" champions leading..but they have to look past the Barca effect...something like..wenger dedicates Song to man Messi..mambo bad!!!!!

Chelshit next game, their game in hand, will be this wednesday against Pompey. That will re-align the table to a more familiar look.

Somebody remind these arses that Westham has not won away from home since the 1st day of the season, surely did they expect them to be the 1st to be beaten!!!!

Akina njune went on and on about how our run-in was tough but we keep picking all the 3 points and I must say without much struggle, Ancelloti has aliready started doubting his team's ability to win the EPL, surely United are now in control!!!!

@mcreggae,
Some posts back and i said here that the twists and turns starts this week-end....I am happy that Gunners (Masters of Joga Bonito...lol) are breathing on your necks even harder and the "overtaking" indicators are on......BTW,you ought not be proud of "beating" Liver by a dubious penalty!!

the haters keep on saying how the gunners will be thrashed in the next match and they keep picking 3 points. ati a terrible game. 3 points and an additional 2 goals adding nicely to the goal difference.

McReggae.....like its been said the gunners overtaking indicator is on. Our next two games involve B'ham and Wolves while Man U have a date with Chelsea. It doesn't matter what the scores will be because it will be a win-win situation for Arsenal.

On another note Messi is proving to be a football genius...the guy scored three goals last night (solo efforts).

As i said earlier after the midweek fixtures on wednesday, the gooners will be dispatched back to their permanent no.3 position. So come this weekend, they will only see chelshit rearguard and Man United will meanwhile be cruising way ahead.

I would have prefered we dish a clean 4 -1 in kind for the humiliation we suffered last season but like SAF said, life is never that simple! Of course the penalty should have been a free kick outside the box so we're not bragging about it but who said life is fair? The Fools had all of 85 minutes afterwards to beat us but they didn't so what does that say about the team?

Mr.Bean and co should be focusing on how they'll stop the unstoppable Messi after his 2nd hat trick in as many weeks at Zaragoza, his 2nd goal was better than the goal Maradona scored at the 86 World Cup semis!

Nowadays there's no easy game in the EPL, ask Chelshit at Blackburn. So that notion that Gooners have an easier run of games (on paper they are)than Man Utd is called illusions of grandeur. Wait till the last game then we can exchange notes.
