If you have a child/children in public school just withdraw them and take to a good private school.
The public school teachers are demoralised and demotivated to teach effectively.
Pity to the students.
jubilee and by extension TSC are messing up the public education system.Arap mashamba cheating people here that welfare of the kids is his priority.Hayo ni machozi ya simba

lets see, private primary schools have always outperformed their public counterparts, but there are quotas for admissions into the top high schools which account for like 80% of university places, so public school students from primary schools still are more than their private school counterparts at the university level.

That means whether teachers are motivated or not to teach very little will change, and the public primary school remains a statistically better place for your kid to achieve academic success.

@sitaki.kujulikana;
That quota was ammended recently giving private primary schools more slots in the public secondary schools.
You are looking at the primary school level;am looking at the overall from primary to secondary.
No teaching took place this term in most public schools and some even did not have end of term exams

Kujulikana was somehow right. To have or not to have end of year exams is of no consequence. Remember unlike the old ways, today there are no class repeaters. I also dont see teachers sabotaging the young ones because they also know their parents are going through tha same strugle or even worse. I also know you know out of experience that education is not about private or public school or what you got in your exams.real education is the kind of life skills you got while in school. Having gone through the school system with all its ups and downs realy helps .you dealt with teachers,prefects, bullies, friends, enemies, snitches. Thieves, the list is endless. Thats why am always against stupid parents who home school their kids.

Karma is a bitch! Those teachers will regret tomorrow. They and their private schooled children won't enjoy their pension & toil respectively as the under taught goons will always rob them off their comfort security and resources.

What will happen if everybody withdraws?We do not have enough private schools.

Furthermore I have heard TSC is about to roll out the proposed performance contract.

Teachers have been cornered but its my prayer that the way forward will be a win win for all. Gaament,teachers and most importantly the students.

How will performance contracting work for teachers?
