Did you know that every single morning..5 million kenyan are tuned in to Maina K. n Kingangi?

That every morning.. 4 miliion kenyans are tuned in to carole mutoko..

That evry evening..practically every T.V is set to a soap opera, a nigerian movie, some wierd season freak show..like legend of the seeker..

that current 16-24 year olds will be running moral trends in ten year and all society is spewing at them is trash and frustration..

by 2015 the likes of Njung'e will be really fortunate to have their kids all grown up while some of us are busy trying to find our way out f a steriotypical fouled up generationtryin find a semblance of decency and a healthy family life.. now that our to be spouses are either seeking for diego's and alejandro's and gal power and right to bed-hop n abort..wile the other is following Alan Namu's story with interest..to start minting my own fake money n make a million before i "pull the trigger!!"..after all...smart people make money..other people's money.. we have no work ethic..i'm my own man..allegience to no one but me and man united..and probably God..as long as He BLesses me!..otherwise pia yeye akae!
We must be the only generation to wipe out itself.
So help me God.Pray

Read a book, change channels, try Family Radio or TV, start your own station, just do not whine and moan here. And take a good look in the mirror.

Foko jembe.

Take heart my broda... in the midst of this chaos and lose of direction there will always be some remnants... But l agree... ours is a society on a free fall... After interacting with my cousins and friends from the UK recently l could not help but notice that for them there is not distinction between RIGHT AND WRONG... anything goes... wrong is relative, they say.

Big deal whats else is new

Every generation think that the younger generation stink, its the ever evolving challanges of parenting. its just the other day our parents were worried about us so get worried about the kids now its our turn

well what goes around comes around

dude..an observation..a thought at a specific point in time..in a traffic jam for that matter..not an attitude..neither is it whining nor moaning..just a thought..that thing that u are meant to use your brain for??smile
we all at some point in life ponder stuff goin on around and about us..and trash it and move on.. doesn't mean getting all wrapped up in it...nor is it a mindset. just a thought.

Yours, foko jembe.

@Proveb

I love you sardonic sence of dark humour. You are much more brilliant than I am. It just happened your thread caught me in a "foul mood". I take it back if I offended you.

Can we start again.

Hi. My name is aemathenge. I am enchanted with Caroline Mutoko, her work not the person.

I do not have a radio. I realized that if I was to keep the little sanity I have, I should avoid the main stream Kenyan press except the Business Daily, I do not watch the news but specific programmes such as The Practice, Boston Leagal, Numbers, CNBC Africa, that kind of stuff.

@proverB you heard of this - Asiyefunzwa na mamake hufunzwa na ulimwengu. Am sure you have. The 'world' has no feelings, no conscience, no right, no wrong. Whatever you want to do you can do. you will not lack of enthusiastic company in whatever you do. You don't have to go with the flow or take everything thrown at you. Decide what to do, you will attract like minded people and eeh...the nice sweet girl you crave so much. All the best
Life is short. Live passionately.

The more things change the more they remain the same.

Your father repeatedly scolded (not encouraged) you for not being top on class, while at the same time the bugger wasnt the one earning the highest salary in the office. Now you are a dad you will repeatedly scold (not encourage) your son because he is not in the top position in class, while you are not the one earning the highest salaary in the office.
