so now you can transact without you handset or an ID. Finger print for ident is more secure i would say.
more to that it applies across networks.
So what now happens to the existing at times inefficient systems

What are the rates for transactions?

I'm told the rates start from as low as 1 BOB!

Please someone break it down so we can know how it works. You'll have to be fingerprinted to be in the database or what?

BBI will solve it

I understand this TANGAZA money trasfer platform can send or recieve money across all mobile operators networks ie; on Safaricom, Zain , Yu and Orange. I liked the part where it uses an electronic thumb reader. So no more "wapi ID" I'd say what a wrong way to start the year for companies like Saf,zain Yu and orange especially Safcom, lots of complains to CCK from bobby for reduction of call rates!! Now this!!. for more reading..http://ictkenyan.wordpress.com/2010/12/07/tangaza-money-transfer/#comment-22

All the Tangaza money will reside at KCB. I Wish them well. The thought of all those commissions makes me excited. KCB...BIG FOR SOMETHING!

They sound convincing but I'm not so sure about the "tapping into the diaspora inflows" talk. Remember that banks run the show, banks own everything. That's why it's unlikely to have something like MPesa or other significant competition check into most of the markets. I'm just saying..

This is a dead product. How do you transfer MPESA when Safaricom frustrates your efforts by creating delays in the inter-transfers?
