@Obiero, what does opening a representative office mean? what will they allowed to do in Ethiopia?

Same thing HSBC does in Kenya. Marketing for large corporate deals, mainly in syndicated loans.. Its a major plus, for KCB

Total assets, 607 billion, 1 trillion mark will be crossed soon, of course to be assisted by deposit flight from small banks. The bank assets grew by 25% but the group assets grew by 34%, its the region that is powering this train. Wait till all regional entities achieve the efficiencies similar to those in Kenya

2017 at the earliest. Lots of competition from Equity for regional business. Max 800bn in 2016. 1 trillion will have to wait.
