The experienced runners know the behavior someone who has finished a marathon is supposed to exhibit, eg sweating profusely, panting, expired shoes, out of breath. This guy didn't display any of the symptoms. Then there is a tracking chip that put it beyond reasonable doubt

And the fast runners have police outrider, police car and courtesy car escort. And a crew filming. Aaaaiiiii!Mjinga sana huyo if he thought he could hack it.

How come none of the film crew, police outriders etc saw or recorded him 'joining the race' hapo mbele to become no. 2?

Apparently 42km runners have chips embedded in their numbers. His chip showed only 3 check points rather than 42.

I read this somewhere.

For starters, the front runners had been filmed all the way in the race, being shown at various points, and he was nowhere in any of them. It must have been a miracle how cameras were so biased against him.

For "HARD EVIDENCE" 42 and 21 kms has chips that are recorded along at various points of the race. Its another huge miracle that the timing belts again ignored his chip and picked the rest.

Finally, if it helps, however fit he is, it is basic biology that you can not run for 42 kms and don't break a sweat. He was even told to remove his shoes(which again were as clean as new ones, no dust at all-Miraculous how he was running on air), even his legs had refused to sweat. His socks were still as dry as a bone.

Whichever way you look at it, his getting to position 2 was miraculous.

Here is an excellent read. Any journalists in the house to do a real .ke story like this one ?
Quote:
Marathon Man
A Michigan dentist’s improbable transformation.
By Mark Singer

In July, 2010, Kyle Strode, a forty-six year-old chemistry professor from Helena, Montana, ran the Missoula Marathon. Completing the 26.2-mile distance in two hours and forty-seven minutes, he placed fourth out of thirteen hundred and twenty-two finishers, and won the masters division, for entrants forty and older. Strode is among the most accomplished masters marathoners in Montana, with a personal best of two hours and thirty-two minutes. When he toes a starting line in his home state, he knows who is among the class of the field, and he’s particularly aware of other masters competitors. The Missoula course, which is mostly flat, passes through rangeland and forest, crosses two rivers, and in its final miles offers a tour of the city’s tree-lined neighborhoods. Early in the race, Strode broke ahead of his usual rivals, and never saw them again. The second masters runner to cross the finish line, Mike Telling, from Dillon, Montana, trailed Strode by nearly four minutes. At the awards ceremony, however, they learned that Telling had actually placed third. The official runner-up was Kip Litton, age forty-eight, of Clarkston, Michigan. Litton, who had been at the back of the pack when the race started, began his run two minutes after the gun was fired. He had apparently made up for lost time.
Live and learn; and don’t forget, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Good question.

Marathon Timing Chip
Running is, in many ways, the simplest of sports. It doesn't truly require any equipment other than what you're born with -- heart, lungs, legs and feet. But technology made a big impact on race organizers when the marathon timing chip was introduced in the 1990s. Suddenly, they were able to track runners from the second they crossed the start line to when they reached the 5-kilometer point, to halfway through the event and the all-important finish line.
Timing chips are typically encased in a hard plastic ring and given to each runner in their race packet prior to the event. The morning of the race, marathoners tie the ring into their shoelaces. Meantime, antennas sheathed in wide, rubber mats are positioned along the course. When the marathoner steps on the rubber mat across the starting line, his individual chip is electronically recognized by the timing system, and his time begins. Likewise, any time he or she steps on one of the specialty mats along the course, a computer records the accumulated time to that point in the race.
Chip timing revolutionized marathon timing, but its drawbacks were recognized as well. While it offered accuracy and simplicity, chip timing was labeled by some as too expensive. Each timing chip ring had to be removed from the shoelaces of weary athletes at the finish line by race volunteers and returned to the given company that was timing the race.

Sad

It is a well known fact such races belong to Kaleos. This must be a plot by TNA to punish Kaleos. Hope they don't pull such stunts in 2017. Aladwa warned Kenyans.

DEAR WAZUA, WHY THE HELL DO YOU STILL ALLOW THIS GUY TO TALK LIKE THIS? OR MAYBE YOU ENDORSE IT, SECRETLY.
