Is the location of free zones in Naivasha the best option with the rail diversion being that costly? Isn't it cheaper to take electricity to say Nairobi or Mombasa than take the railway to Naivasha?

A free zone so far from the port...what is the logic?

So that Uhulu can be remembered to have brought maendeleo to his people's doorstep.

I don't have problem with the rail or special economic zones, problem is inflated cost of the rail

It was to pass through Naivasha anyway ... on the way to Malaba, Kigali and Kampala. All they have done is to expedite the construction of that particular section.

As for the construction cost, there are so many variables and I would not rush to claim people are "eating" since I do not have access to BOQ's. I have no clue how railway construction costing is done and the closest I have been to a Railway is a railway crossing on the highway.

We need to ask questions but let us not conclude they have eaten till we have the details.
