Is it a flash, portable hard drive, server etc. that you are trying to recover data from? If the device was only formatted then you can try to recover the data yourself using a program called Recuva. Until you run the program, don't write anymore data to the device.

If the device was water damaged or dropped then you'll need a pro and they are not often cheap.

Don't waste your time on those programs,if the harddisk can't be recognized by the computer no software will help.
What they do is open up the disk and recover the data.

Electronic damage on hard drive = not even recognized by pc = Take to specialist with clean room.

Physical damage on hard drive = = Take to specialist with clean room

if recognized by the pc and throwing up format errors, etc, software can help as it may just be a file table issue or corruption.

When you say its not visible ,is it at BOOT/POST stage or from MY COMPUTER.You can try to check if you can view the disk on DISK MANAGEMENT.Use the link below to access disk management. If its visible you can try HIREN BOOT CD 10.5.
