Wazua please do not delete this post for this is what I feel.

Stolen maize scandal, milk wastage, maize rotting in Hola, cemetery money stolen, primary school money stolen and now government fertilizer stolen!!!!!! This government thing is just not working!!! For every one scandal we hear of there are 10 which don't make it to the press. Uyu ni mutharano (People are just scrambling to eat and finish this country). Is there a brave, intelligent, strong soldier somewhere in our barracks with a vision for this country?? To hell with this democracy!!!! f*** elections!!! I have had it!!!! We have no government just a coalition of thieves!!! Shameless thieves. I don't want to hear of even of another election so that we elect other people. What needs to be done is not rocket science, somebody please take a gun and lead this country!!!!

I began revolution with 82 men. If I had to do it again, I do it with 10 or 15 and absolute faith. It does not matter how small you are if you have faith and plan of action.”
-Fidel Castro

My freind Kusandikika; Have you ever travelled to eastlands and see those Somalis everywhere from Somalia, Have you ever seen the tribulations of refugees in Dadaab refugee camps and Kakuma refugee camps? Have you ever seen homeless and malnourished children staying overnight in the cold? Ever travelled to South Sudan, DR Congo, or Somalia or Serbia, Abania, Yugoslavia etc. Man, I have been to all those places and I tell what you are asking for is death!. THERE IS NO REVOLUTION WITHOUT SHEDDING BLOOD (Read stuff by Malcom X)If there has been one it must be one in a million. Its better to have thieves in government ( I am not one of them) than be ruled by a man in boots. It is so sickening. Can you imagine what the police in Kenya would do if they took control? Are the army people any better? Think again brother...

While i appreciate Kusadikikas dillema and anger at a nearly failed political class.

I either think in 07/08 you were never at all in the thick of things..or were squarely in it, thus the anger of your suffering having borne nothing. but id bet you on the latter, kwasababu vita ndugu yangu sio mambo good.. never never ever! Ive heard tales from refugees... washana naye!!!

Military boys are taught to be zombies and only take orders.. further to that they only have one mindset; the guy on the other side of the barrel/crosshairs is enemy. if he dont die i die.

let them enjoy life in the barracks with an occasional run to the borders and beyond.

Do you have little angels whom you care about? If so, withdraw some of those statements. It is true, our gava is rotten through and through...A revolution is not the best thing. I have just finsished reading, The Autobiography of Malcom X... a guy who preached violence and the power of using force. He never achieved much. He died by the gun that he had always thought to be his saviour. And infact the very person he adored so much Elijah Maohammed, was behind his death. Nothing good ever comes out of VIOLENCE and MILITANCY!!! Probably I would recommend the opposite - non vilonce (read stuff by Dr Martin L King)... and read the Bible too....

@ kusadikika, ur views r typical middle class views-Hypocritical, shortsighted n with too much amnesia.Corruption in gvt was widespread since '63 n it was only in the '90s that mega scams started being exposed.Small scams were not worth the mention then.Do you know that back then parastatal heads used to give the guy who used to live in state hse millions every Friday? That's the money he would dish out in harambees n roadside tours. Later we got better watcful eyes n now even small cases get to the news!I'm not defendn politicians but we must see the big picture. At the same time, we must clean up ourselves. For most complainers about corruption r just as corrupt or r jealous they dint get the chance, someone else did.Look at Parliament. What happened to yesteryear saints lyk Raila,Kiraitu n Ababu? I hate the idea of the army taking over, however gud the revolution leadr is.We would have coup after coup(lyk nigeria) n when they steal no one would talk about it
What a wicked man I am!The things I want to do,I don't do.The things I don't want to do I find myself doing

Take a good look in the mirror.
As Michael Jackson would say: If you wanna make the world (Kenya) a better place take a look at yourself and make that change.

Where were you between 1 August 1982 and 31 August 1982. Talk to somebody who was in Nairobi then.

Magigi, I rarely agree with anything you post but I must say this: Hear, Hear.

Im an anti corruption campaigner...but the rule of Gun ...no no no ....

The other day there was an exchange of fire between thugs and police near my residence...to be honest ....I almost helped on myself....imagine waking up to such scene daily .....and the way the AU and UN are helpless in bringing sanity on failed states? DRC,Somalia ..etc... rule of Gun NO...we need to deal with corrupt ruthlessly individually....
With gun leadership we women and children will suffer for nothing...

Agree, no guns... or uniformed rule. The way even AP's hammer innocent Kenyans for something small, makes me shudder to think what would happen if they had the power. On the other hand electing mpigs and having to watch them eat for 5 yrs bila uwezo wa kufanaya kitu, and then only option is to elect another bunch to eat for the next 5... Is there a way out ?

Am not advocating for war or anything close to that but as i said, i do understand where @kusadikika is coming from because i have also come to that point at one time or another, but leaders like Kagame dont walk up to statehouse wearing long sidelocks holding a bible on one hand and a Crook. We need a true reformer who doesnt need to suck up these goons. it is a risk for whoever has the guts to do that, but we need someone to take that risk. As someone said, its true corruption started from the day kenya was born or earlier and no one could talk of it. now we can talk about it openly and bash the ones doing it, and if you were there in 2002 and felt the hostility kenyan's had to get moi out, then you will admit that its a matter of time till we get near that point....... again.

While the rule of the gun is not the best option, we honestly need more than just another election!

The problem with elections is that the pauper voters have been made to believe that Kenya ina wenyewe....they suffer from 'psychologically battered voter syndrome'...which makes them go to the debe without thinking ahead..Yes election may not make much difference....If the middleclass cared...it would make the difference...by refusing to be corrupt (it takes 2 to a tango) and not allowing their hard earned cash to be eaten by anybody ....and keep quiet or by supporting him/her because he is from our community....

Awuuuwu..Kusadikika et all you guys miss the point by several galaxies!

A military junta is rarely a panacea, and it is not our leaders who are the problem. It is we KENYANS, SISI! More specifically, our attitudes!

Because we Kenyans became such a happy lot that we lost our sense of being wronged as Kenyans a long time ago, we lost our sense of being short-changed as Kenyans a long time ago, we lost our sense of being outraged as Kenyans on theft of public funds a long time ago.

Only now are we starting to re-discover anger, to get annoyed, to refuse to go on with a business-as-usual attitude. All along our leaders knew they could plunder, rape and kill with impunity and get away with it. And did all this they they faithfully did. So they killed in '92, '97, 2002, 2007/8 and of course will get away with it. And they stole lots of public cash, never mind the huge anti-corruption juggernaut we have consisting of over 10 major graft-fighting agencies like KACC,EMU,CID,etc.

Our response to all this was, at best muted, at worst conniving and indifferent as we lchose to look the other way. But we should have been outraged and taken to the streets, demanding convictions, making it clear from 1993 that we will not tolerate pogroms. Neither Goldenberg, Anglo-leasing, graves, etc. Our silence gave them consent, the impetus, the confidence to go on to the next cash cow and the next pogrom.

Our meekness, our docility is our Archille's heel. It is what is killing us.

Take petrol for instance, just the other day it was retailing at 65/= per litre rising to 110/= per litre within a very short time and driving up prices of everything. Citizens' response to this exploitation by oil companies: almost NIL
Yet in countries such as India and Nigeria a 2-shilling rise, even when justified, has the potential of bringing down an entire govt.

So then Kusadikika am relieved at your new-found sense of anger and outrage! Am happy you are angry, you feel short-changed, you feel wronged and a deep sense of injusticies committed.

Let us go on bringing out the scandals and if I bring one out plse support me to the hilt and let me not suffer alone as did Gerald Munyankei (Goldenberg whistleblower) as indeed I will not also not let you. And using all forums, lets keep agitating for prosecution/ punishment for all criminal elements, and those harming mother Kenya irrespective of their position in our political hierarchy.

But we are calm, collected and sober people who will not let this anger be channeled wrongly. Its really a battle of the mind, a battle to banish the wrong selfish individualistic mindset.
What we need is an evolution of attitudes in the citizenry's mind, and this will bring a revolution and new paradigm shift in the way we run our country.

@ Magigi: I hear you. I am not advocating for senseless killing Somalia, Sudan or Nigeria style. I was thinking more of leadership that comes from a military leader more like Museveni in Uganda, Kagame in Rwanda, Park Chung He in South Korea, Pinochet in Chile. There will have to be a bit of bloodletting but not a bloodbath. It does not have to be military man just a strong decisive leader. Is there a way in which we can get a lean, effective and responsible government in place from where we are right now?? As @Intelligentsia suggested is time to evolve our attitudes our only hope?? This will take time and maybe only our grandchildren will enjoy good governance.

@Wendz: Not only do they not hold a bible but strong decisive leaders may lack the conmanship skills required to win an election in Kenya. It is unlikely that a person like Michuki would win an election for president yet I feel he has the nerve required to straighten things out.

Kadonye, is this the best we could have?? Is there anyway this situation can be made better?? Or maybe as aemathenge says just start with myself and hope that everyone else like the maize eaters and grave sellers and fertilizer thieves will also start with themselves?!

I am just ranting here but maybe we should just continue to do what we are doing and leave it all to God.

Intelligentsia, r u mutahi ngunyi or a disciple?Ur post is very 'ngunyiish'.nyc stuff though.Someone once asked, is it bad leadership that gives us a bad society or a bad society that gives us bad leadership?...My guess is the latter. We're so wicked that if we were to start being angry as the ngunyist above argues, we'd start with ourselves!
What a wicked man I am!The things I want to do,I don't do.The things I don't want to do I find myself doing
