After 8 years at the helm, Ndungu walks away with 22M golden-diamond-encrusted handshake.
I thought Government was broke?

Now this will become the ruler which all senior civil servants will measure themselves with.
If I am more senior than Governor, I get more.
If I am slightly less senior, I get a little less.

Starting with MPs, senators, MCAs, teachers, police...e.t.c

Where is serem?

Golden handshake

True @Obiero. @businesspundit Personally I don't have a problem with the handshake. All organisations have their method of calculating gratuity basing in the job group and the "Level" of the organization in the National structure. What did the highest individual get when coop bank retired their senior management staff? Cc @Angelica

Central banks 'profits' are ephemeral. Not real profits. I'd try to explain but then you might want to appoint your friend Alex Mbugua as the governor who will turn a 48bn profit into a 480bn loss.

All of this while the gov is apparently broke
Why Kenya has run out of cash

How do they plan on paying back that 20% 'risk free' bond interest that everybody has been buying up? and that euro bond, now we have a weak shilling....things are getting really tight

Aren't we being petty?

How much do you think commercial bank CEOs get as the golden handshake or retirement benefits (which the former CBK governor is not getting)?

How much do you think a former CBK governor who served for 8 years should get?? Throw some figures around...
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

If you belief that any law has been broken, you have an obligation to go to court and challenge the payment on public interest.
Life is short. Live passionately.
