The rally is still on like the safari rally.
Today it's one of the top gainers and counter has done more than 10% since beginning of last week.

Been accumulating slowly. Placed an order at 6.50 last week only for it to jump to 7.10

Well it's fair; note insurance companies will only perform fairly this year. Should recover as the market recovers.

So the real question is how long does the market take to recover? Or even better, are you ready to wait without fretting, for 1.5 years after purchase?

CIC insurance has very little exposure in the stock market.
It's heavy in Government Treasury bills and bonds and Corporate bonds which have a steady stream of interest income.
And now with treasury bills and bonds interest at ++20% they will reap handsomely.
