CBK T Bill returns

..Yes I do have...I tried with them but they said they don't do such services. Either invest with them or go activate My account at CBK. Their rates are not good. They are almost 4% below CBK. I have another account in KCB let me try them smile I forgot that I have one there..LOL. Anyone tried with KCB?

..I don't understand the need of availing myself at the CBK Physically when the Gava is about to implement the M-Akiba Bonds that will be done totally through Mobile. No one will be visiting the CBK Office. They saw me there when i opened an account niyanini kutaka kuniona tena???

truly it makes no sense. they just want to see you smile for them in person, you might want to propose skyping to them if that's the problem . this is autocratic bureaucracy. try tweeting them ama call diaspora affairs office if there is something like that , then share what you find out

to me this m-akiba is a good alternative for the money I leave lying in the bank and this is why safcom can marry any bride

@Kyukamba About using KCB,Yes! Last week with 1 Yr. T/Bond, with KCB Diaspora Banking. Talk to Roselyn Kyalo, sweet, easy going and very helpful. She will even return your call ata Diaspora, listen to you and get back to you by email, utaipata ukiamka. Then informs you when the bond/bill has been paid. I'm sure ata CBK email directly to the people dealing with this and you don't have to be there in person. Now you and me lets figure how to do M-Akiba(?). Happy Investing!

BUT what would be the limit..?Let's say I want to buy anything above MPESA holding balance...I agree the showing up might me an AML measure but it's retrogressive and a hindrance to financial deepening.

he roll say 2m face value only, to next issue or he has to wait for the 3m to mature and put a fresh bid for the 2m ?

If it is the Tbill, its wednesday(today) for the 182 and 364 days bills and Thursday for the 91 day bill.

Information is available on the CBK website or on the published results in the newspaper.

@impunity i dont think so....just had a look at the results of the 182 and 364 day t-bills for this week and they have surged again

182 weighted average was 21.607% (Up 1.276%)
364 weighted average was 21.489% (Up 0.803%)

What i keep finding interesting is the subscription rate.....This time round it was 142% for the 182 and a massive 316% for the 364 day.

You dont have to be great to START but you have to start to be GREAT!!!!!!!!

Now that the subscription rate on the longer 182 and 364 is rising, if 91 day subscription remains the same or higher, it means even liquidity will be further reduced. That is not a good sign for stocks. However it is a good sign that T-bill rates will remain high for now.
