I think Centum want to be in the news all the time.
Did you notice the other day James Mworia (MD) making a courtesy call at Nation Media offices.
I think all the do is sell news.
The signs are all there

Chris Kirubi spent a "paltry" KES 12M on 2million KQ shares... many waxed lyrical on why that is strategic and hence "vote of confidence" on KQ What media delayed to announce was Chris Kirubi at the same time sunk KES 1BILLION more into Centum.. ...but the same who were impressed by his move on KQ are seeing something sinister. ok. 1Billion investment = "sinister move..do not trust Centum" 12 Million investment = "Bravo!!! Real patriotic! everyone go buy KQ" seriously? 12M in KQ is a mere 1% of what dude put in centum... plus put in mind, he sold his 9% UAP stake for KES2.8 Billion to Old Mutual too by the way. It is not that he cannot afford more of KQ. Who is fooling who here? ..Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven...Matt5:16 - 1769 Oxford King James Bible 'Authorized Version

Who is fooling who here? @ProverB your defence of Centum and the DJ is impenetrable. Time for you to declare your interest in either... Life is short. Live passionately.

Centum could be next www.capitalfm.co.ke/busi...eam-illusion-or-reality/#askkirubi wrote: I was a young salesman when I rented an office at International House (then International Life House). All the money I was making went to paying my rent and other utilities. However, time came for the landlords who were British to return to their country. They needed a Manager, someone to manage the property, collect the rent and send it to them. Without thinking twice I seized the opportunity. Regardless of whether I was qualified to take up the job or not, I knew I had an upper hand because of my cordial relations with the owners. I made them an offer and during that period they were able to evaluate me and eventually appoint me as a Manager on a full time basis. I knew this was going to be my breakthrough, my money maker, my game changer, so I worked as though my life depended on it and a few years down the line, I purchased the building. One ‘small’ opportunity turned my life around. “Invest in yourself. Your career is the engine of your wealth.”

Makes you wonder if Business Daily has opened a representative office in Centum.
No other company gets this much coverage.
£$¥€ Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

I have centum..got in when it was about 27-30 I plan to sell at some point. My stand on KQ has remained since 2009... My issue is when people are using Kirubi as a metric for investing or dumping a stock. Buying KQ by him gets accolades...buying Centum...condemnation and suspicion... despite KQ puchase being 1% value of Centum purchase.. Anyway... as Aden Duale would say... He may have fooled Uchumi investors then, but now, we are alert. Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

Infact all wazuans have been skeptical that it is more of PR or a move to con foreign investors again. As for Centum, we agree he is heavily invested in there. But then again we know he has tricks up his sleeve which we are watching keenly. At least nowadays information is in plenty & easily accessible. Cc. Kenatco, Uchumi, Haco na zinginezo!!! Kenya right now is different than then . Anything little you do there will be media coverage ,there will be Internet to watch you and also any secret dealings will be noted by the number of stocks sold. During the yester years things were casual reporting and no Internet back ups. Should that "uchumi" sinister move tried to be pulled up again then he will be caught before he realizes
