Tribalism in Kenya is perpetrated by Kikuyus Luos and Kalenjins. The other tribes are o.k..
Not true. Almost nobody votes on issues. How come our leaders are not even worried about addressing issues like crime, unemployment, security, poor health services, poor infrastructure, too much traffic, poor housing, wage bill, corruption the deficit etc etc.
Believe me if we were an issue based electorate, the president would be busy addressing these issues and he would not be keeping corrupt people in his cabinet.
And how come tribal chiefs are still the main election contenders ?
If the three tribes you mentioned are the only guilty ones then the rest of the ethnic groups should rise up and elect an issue based leader.
As I see it, the 1st president of Kenya (Jomo kenyatta) created a culture of tribalism which has been perpetrated by every president since then.
It is Jomo Kenyatta who created the culture of pitting tribe against tribe so he and his inner circle could steal land and raid the treasury while the peasants were fighting.
Now 50 years later, the politicians are still eating while the distracted public is still fighting each other and insulting each other on twitter and facebook.
