Doesn't make sense to close the private schools since their teachers are not paid by the state, we are heading to the court if this order is not rescinded with immediate effect.

This is such a simple issue, those young eager journalists should just track down Kaimenyi's children, or school going kids of a few senior public officials; find out if they are holed out at home, and the issue should be resolved pronto.

Even better, find out average salary of the teachers who teach Kaimenyi's or a few senior public officials kids, and contrast with those of an average public school, make public, and the money will be found.

everyone has their wage bill... GOK should clear up it's own without pushing private schools into it's mess.

Wow!!! everything raises or falls on leadership!!

I'm still trying to link why a private school should be closed while neither the student nor the teacher will gain nothing from the strike. What will happen to the fees already paid? Will Govt refund?
I'll be very keen to compare the exam results for this year's KCPE and KCSE with those of last years.... I gotta a feeling that the number/ ratio of As wont change much.. That raises the question on the value the teachers add Verses the true value of Examining in Kenya... Watch this space!!

It makes a lot of sense.Hakuna mtoto wa tumbo na wa mgongo.Part of the problem we have is to think they are special and that the education crisis is non of their business because they can afford to their kids to private schools. All the kids both private and public will do the same final exams and therefore no need to give undue advantage to one group.
This will also help the mido class see the density of the education crisis and urge the garment to solve the issue.
