He has ignited a very interesting discussion. It is the same victim mentality that Dr.Ben Carson speak against.

You are one thoroughgoing fool who has recklessly plunged into a discourse you are not competent to write about. In fact, having lived and played around the infamous Dandora dump site , you seem to have inhaled a lot of toxic fumes that seriously altered the functions of your brain. As a media person, your frustrations are well understood given the fact that most of the media companies belong to your Kikuyu masters. I don't need to tell you more because the same genetic characteristics that define the general attitude of Luos is the same that has informed this stupid opprobrium that is intended to achieve two goals. One is to purposely endear you to the Kikuyu you're working for and two, to falsely improve your academic profile as an independent thinker even when this is a raw act of ostentation that is always typical of your genes. As a professional on a useless prowl, you should have found a better forum to sort out tribal challenges of your Luo tribe instead of putting them on a billboard for everyone who also have their own shortcomings.

But why does Odongo think that kikuyu owe Luo? Why would an agreement/wrongdoings of two people be tied down to a whole community?

He should write an article about how the politicians owe the citizens and taxpayers, but he wont because he does see things along "our time to eat" persepctive

Quote:
I want to urge every young and old, male and female, from Luo Nyanza to take up their weapons (ie voter cards) and rise up in the next elections by defying the norm and voting in leaders who can guide our community to prosperity, whether they are independent candidates or candidates from ‘rival parties’. We have stayed in the wilderness for way too long. We have lost far too many people along this journey as we wander in the vast desert of hopelessness.

He is even contradicting himself

Quote:
Our future is in our own hands. If we continue in this perennial blame game, we will soon blame them for such trivial matters as bedroom woes, lack of children in marriage, stolen goats, when cows eat soap, when we can’t dig latrines, among others. Here is what plagues us and hinders us as a people from realising the incredible potential that lies latent within us

Quote:
Bad politics. My people, like John Maxwell says, everything rises and falls on leadership. A car is only as good as the engine that drives it. Without a proper engine, we cannot go anywhere. We must urgently shun politics that are based on grudges and ego massaging. Dynasties cannot bring the much-needed change because they are sustained by the status quo. We must begin to think of progressive leaders who will hold our hands and lead us as we cross the murky waters of our troubled past. The time to hand over the baton to a new generation of ‘Joshuas’ should begin now. Leaders holding onto the past must be shown the door.

In politics everything rises and falls on the type of citizens.Citizens are the engine, the leaders we choose are the body of the car

Anyway,The people from Nyanza elected the current leaders, let them enjoy the fruits and consequences,if they want change, they can always vote in different leaders!

Ni hayo tu!

poor tribal souls.
The world is big and guys are still stuck within tribal borders.
Yaani whenever one opens his mouth he has to attribute his frustrations to this and that tribe. What boring lifestyle, I would rather watch a snail climb a tree.
