Who is that willing to buy 16m KQ at this point in time? Someone has a tip about something .... Might be a connected local buying as a foreigner eg a Kenyan incorporates a company in Jersey then reinvests in Kenya as a foreign investor. It's called roundtripping and there are no regulations against it in Kenya. Have some confidence people..and that comes from investing in ourselves, that way the only difference between that 'big guy' and you will be money. OK. That's why we need to be objective on Wazua. That way we maintain us being 6 to 1 year ahead of Mainstream, beating it to the buy & sell! True, if we always wait for cues from the 'big guys' then we compromise likely gains. Kaeni rada! Read, share, research!

Read, share, research! What would be the benefit to a Kenyan buying as a 'foreigner'.. Makes no sense to me. Otherwise, the volume and macro stars are all lined up. From here, its all the way up. KQ right now is the best stock at the NSE for outsized short term gains. Take off time! COOP 255,000 ABP 15.85; IMH 5,000 ABP 35.55; KQ 604,200 ABP 6.96; MTN 23,800 ABP 5.20

Ummm...No. Pointing out machinations to completely privatize is not equal to absolving poor management. If anything its a case study of what happens when assets are mismanaged. As for ownership,Completely private is not the same as 30% (highest) ownership. VituVingiSana wrote: Ahhh, when all else fails... blame the foreigners. Isn't KQ already a 'private' airline with 70% non-GoK ownership? If IFC hadn't come up with the cash, the Rights Issue (70% subscription) might not have succeeded. The Board & Management - with insignificant skin in the game - convinced IFC to invest in KQ. I wonder if anyone's head at IFC rolled for this.

KQ is not doing so badly, they just need to get a strategy because right now they have none. "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .

Let's blame the 'West' for giving KQ loans on which they expect payments on time. The evil 'West' expects payments on time unlike the 'angel' East. I am sure Equity Bank doesn't charge penalties, accrued interest, ledger fees or mailing costs on late payments. Greedy when others are fearful. Ooh I forgot too "screw up your credit ."also I forgot to mention that equity has financial agreement with Boeing since equity is in the west so it's credible worth to "evil west".by any chance I'm talking about Congo Airways .don't know where you picked up the KQ thing
